Nine sites carry water, sewer, and electric on 50-amp back-in configurations, with water-and-electric-only 20-amp sites also available, sized to 36 feet, with fire pits, picnic tables, cable TV, and site WiFi. Note the 36-foot cap before booking a larger rig. Twenty-four tent sites make this notably tent-friendly. A general store, restrooms, showers, and firewood handle the practical side. One important reminder from the operators: there is wildlife here, including black bears along with squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, and skunks. Keep all food in coolers inside your RV, trailer, or fifth wheel rather than out at the site. An outdoor pool anchors the summer, with a game room, playground, and walking trails on the grounds and planned activities through the season. Pets are welcome. Jim Thorpe is sometimes called the Switzerland of America for its dramatic gorge setting, and the Victorian-era downtown is among the most architecturally remarkable in Pennsylvania. The Lehigh River's whitewater rafting corridor runs alongside, and the surrounding Poconos carry extensive hiking and biking trails. The resort serves the Pocono season. Summer rafting and October foliage are the two peak windows, drawing heavily from Philadelphia and New York. With nine RV sites, reserve well ahead for fall color weekends.

I love Jim Thorpe Camping Resort. The employees are always friendly, the place is quiet, the bathrooms are always clean, and in the store you can always find what you forgot to bring for camping. The best thing for me is that I can enjoy the place with my dog.

Rules

The Jim Thorpe Camping Resort is a family campground and the rules are set to ensure that all campers have an enjoyable camping experience. -While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. -No loud radios or music at any time. -Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM -No cutting of any trees or branches. ($500.00 fine) -Keep dogs under control and on a leash at all times. -Please clean up after your animals. -Keep all alcohol at your own campsite. -No Keg Beer. -Absolutely NO drinking games (pong, flip cup, card games, etc...) -Golf carts are NOT permitted on the campground (other than our maintenance crew). Exceptions to this rule are for handicap or special needs only and must be pre-approved before arrival. -No ATV/ Four wheelers are permitted. Street legal motorcycles are allowed to enter and exit the campground, but please do not continuously drive them around the grounds or disturb other campers. -Do not discharge any firearms in the campground. (This includes BB Guns and Paintball Guns) -Keep your campsite/cabin areas clean of all trash and debris. -All guests/ visitors must register themselves and their cars at the office. -No more than two vehicles parked at a campsite/cabin. -Keep the fire under control and in the fire ring, no cooking or open flames in the cabins. -Check-out is promptly at 12 noon or before. Additional charges will be added to those not checked out at the proper time. -If any of these rules or regulations are not followed your party will be asked to leave the property. -We retain the right to evict without prior notice anyone who, in our opinion, is creating a disturbance or being a nuisance.

Cancellation Policy

MODERATE If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
