Note the electrical: service is 30-amp throughout, so a rig wired for heavier draw will need an adapter and some load management, though at 65 feet the sites themselves take a long rig and the campground is rated big rig friendly. Laundry, a bathhouse with showers, a dump station, a pavilion, and WiFi cover the essentials. Pets are welcome, with a dog park. Creek frontage, walking trails, sport courts, volleyball, horseshoes, a playground, and planned activities fill 18 acres of old-growth forest, with hiking and birding from the property. The campground also hosts weddings. Hixon sits just off Highway 97 in the central BC Interior, between Prince George and Quesnel, near Barkerville, the Huble Homestead, and the Bowron Lakes canoe circuit.
