Dicky’s RV Park
Ridgefield, Washington
170 RV Sites
Dicky's RV Resort sits in Ridgefield, Washington, just east of Interstate 5 in Clark County—a growing full-service RV resort directly across from the Clark County Fairgrounds and Cascades Amphitheater, one of the Pacific Northwest's primary outdoor concert and event venues, in a location that puts guests 20 minutes from downtown Portland and 16 minutes from Vancouver's Columbia River waterfront. The resort's 170-site scale, full hookup infrastructure, and proximity to the Portland metro make it the largest and most accessible private RV resort option in southwest Washington for travelers working either the I-5 corridor or the broader Portland-to-Coast route.
All 170 sites provide full hookups with 30 and 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer. Showers, laundry facilities, and a general store handle the daily needs, and WiFi covers the property. A playground is on-site, and pool and recreation center facilities are in development to expand the resort's on-property amenity range. The Cascades Amphitheater across the road hosts major touring concerts, the Clark County Fair, rodeos, and community events through the season, creating an unusual campground position where significant scheduled entertainment is literally a short walk from the campsite without requiring transportation.
The Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, minutes from the resort, protects 5,150 acres of river bottom, wetlands, and upland prairie in the Columbia River floodplain where the Lewis and Clark Expedition passed in 1805—the refuge's combination of seasonal wetlands, permanent ponds, and native grassland provides habitat for sandhill cranes, tundra swans, white-tailed deer, and the full complement of Columbia River waterfowl that make the lower Columbia flyway one of the Pacific Northwest's premier wildlife watching corridors. The refuge's auto tour route allows wildlife observation without leaving the vehicle, and the walking trails on the river's edge provide a more intimate encounter with the wetland landscape.
Vancouver, Washington's Columbia River waterfront has been significantly developed over the past decade into a walkable district of restaurants, parks, and public spaces that overlooks the Columbia toward Portland—the Vancouver Waterfront's Esther Short Park, the reconstructed Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, and the Pearson Field aviation museum provide the cultural infrastructure of a mid-size Pacific Northwest city that doesn't carry Portland's parking and congestion challenges. Portland's full urban amenity set—Powell's Books, the Pearl District, Mount Tabor Park, the Portland Art Museum, and the food and brewery culture that has defined the city's national reputation—is 20 minutes south on I-5.
Dicky's RV Resort operates year-round in the marine-influenced Pacific Northwest climate where southwest Washington's mild winters and long summer days make the resort genuinely useful across all seasons. The Cascades Amphitheater calendar creates specific demand spikes around scheduled events—checking the venue schedule when planning a visit is worthwhile both for potential entertainment and for avoiding the increased campground traffic that major events generate. The I-5 corridor position makes Dicky's accessible from the Seattle, Portland, and coastal Oregon directions with equal convenience.
