Swimming Access
- Lake Hemet is a no-body-contact reservoir, so swimming and playing in the water are strictly prohibited year-round.

- The Swim Zone does not contain inflatables.
- We have not offered an inflatable water park here since 2019.
- It has not yet been determined if we will be offering swimming for the 2025 summer season, and if so, where the swim zone would be located.
- Because we are in nature, there are conditions which can and will require us to close the seasonal swim zone for short periods of time or completely.
- Access to swimming is not a condition of your camping reservation.
- It is just an added amenity.
- Updates to 2025 water play activities can be found at Attractions - Lake Hemet.
- Because we are in nature, there are conditions which can and will require us to close the swim zone and pause kayaking or boating.
- These include but are not limited to algae levels, water clarity, thunderstorms, lightning, and high winds.
- Access to the lake for swimming and personal launches is not a condition of your camping reservation.
- It is just an added amenity.
Fishing Access
- Only anglers wearing proper waders will be allowed to fish offshore.
- Fishing is free for all overnight camping guests.
- Any day use guests age 16 and older must pay the additional daily Fishing Access Fees ($10 per person).
- All anglers 16 and older must possess a valid CA fishing license.
- Shoreline fishing is open from 5 am to 10 pm for overnight campers.
- Provided that they are fishing from their own Lakeview site or in an open area.
Water Access
- The south shore of Lake Hemet (opposite the campground) is off limits to guests by water and land.
- It is a federally protected area for our nesting bald eagles, and trespassers will be fined and removed from the campground.
- Additionally, all boats, kayaks and float tubes must remain at least 100 feet from both the damn and the spillway at the west side of the lake.

Ev Charging
- Protecting our environment is and always has been a priority for Lake Hemet Campground, and we are researching the addition of EV charging stations in our campgrounds; however, there are currently no EV charging capabilities at our facilities.
- While many of our campgrounds have electrical pedestals to power RVs, these pedestals function differently than EV charging stations.
- RV electrical pedestals are designed for non-continuous loads, not the constant electricity flow required to charge EV batteries.
- It is essential to know that plugging your EV into a 30-50 amp electric pedestal designed for RV usage can permanently damage your vehicle, as well as the campground’s electrical system.
- Even if your vehicle came from the manufacturer with a charging converter, it does not change the way electricity flows through the electrical infrastructure.
