Winding River Campground
50 RV Sites, 6 Cabins, 54 Tent Sites
Winding River Campground in Exeter, New Hampshire, offers 50 full-hookup RV sites, six cabins, and 54 tent sites on the Squamscott River, with 20, 30, and 50-amp service, ADA-accessible sites, and rigs accepted to 60 feet. Riverfront full-hookup categories at both amperages join standard tiers, with an outdoor pool, hot tub, beach, boat ramp, and jumping pillow.
Fifty sites span 20/30/50-amp full hookup, 20/30/50-amp full hookup riverfront, 20/30/50-amp standard, and 30-amp full hookup riverfront categories, all carrying water, sewer, and electric with site WiFi, sized to 60 feet, with fire pits and picnic tables. The riverfront categories are the ones to request. Accessible sites are available. Six cabins and 54 tent sites round out the lodging. A general store, propane fills and exchange, dump station, restrooms, showers, firewood, and golf cart rentals handle the practical side.
An outdoor pool and hot tub and sauna anchor the summer, with a beach and boat ramp opening the river for boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming. A jumping pillow, arcade, sports courts, basketball, horseshoes, gem mining, a playground, pavilion, and on-site dining fill the rest, with live music and planned activities.
Rockingham County sits on the southern New Hampshire Seacoast, where the tidal Squamscott, Hampton Beach's three miles of Atlantic shore, Phillips Exeter Academy's campus, and Portsmouth's colonial maritime heritage make one of the state's most appealing corners — and there is no sales tax.
Summer is the season on the Seacoast. Reserve well ahead.
