The creek is the setting — slow-moving, moss-draped blackwater running through cypress, tupelo, and bottomland hardwood forest in Tangipahoa Parish. That is the Florida Parishes interior at its most characteristic, and few campgrounds deliver it this directly. A state park is nearby.
