Alpine Lodge

6 RV Sites, 22 Cabins

Alpine Lodge sits at the north end of Red Lodge, Montana, on US Highway 212, offering 22 cabin and motel-room accommodations alongside six RV spots with water and electric on 30 and 50-amp service. RV sites are pull-through and sized to 30 feet, so this suits smaller rigs and vans rather than large coaches — the lodging is the main event here. Twenty-two cabins and motel rooms provide king and queen beds, in-room coffee makers, kitchenettes with microwave and refrigerator, air conditioning, and covered parking directly in front of each room. Adjoining rooms are available for families and larger parties. Six pull-through RV spots carry water and electric on 30 and 50-amp with picnic tables, sized to 30 feet — note there are no sewer hookups. Laundry, restrooms, and showers serve all guests, and WiFi reaches the property. The lodge maintains a strict cancellation policy given the seasonal nature of its lodging, so confirm dates before booking. On-site amenities include a community fire pit, sports courts, basketball, horseshoes, corn hole, and on-site dining, with live music and planned activities through the season. The lodge also operates as a wedding venue. Downtown Red Lodge is within walking distance for dining and shops. The position is exceptional. US-212 is the southern terminus of the Beartooth Highway, which Charles Kuralt called the most beautiful road in America and the American Motorcycle Association ranks among the world's top motorcycle roads. The Beartooth-Absaroka Wilderness, Yellowstone's northeast entrance, and Rock Creek's blue-ribbon trout water are all immediate. Skiing is nearby in winter. The Beartooth Highway's seasonal opening drives summer demand — check pass status and book early for July and August.

Lakeview Haven

28 RV Sites

Lakeview Haven in Glendo, WY, offers 28 full-hookup back-in RV sites with 30 and 50-amp service and room for rigs up to 50 feet. Every site is a back-in carrying water, sewer, and electric. Laundry, a bathhouse with showers, propane fills, and on-site dining handle the essentials, with WiFi across the property and cabins available for guests without a rig. Campfires are allowed in the public fire pits rather than at individual sites, and tents need their own tent site — you can't pitch one beside a cabin. Pets are welcome, and there's a playground and a basketball court for kids. A fishing pier on the property puts guests on the water, and the community fire pit is where the evening ends up. Glendo sits in the high plains of Platte County on the shore of Glendo Reservoir, a North Platte River impoundment known for walleye and for some of the emptiest, clearest night skies in Wyoming. Rates for sites and cabins are on the booking page. The reservoir's summer season is short and busy — reserve ahead for July and August.

Osen's RV Park

5 RV Sites, 1 Cabin

Osen's RV Park in Livingston, MT, offers 5 full-hookup RV sites and 1 cabin, with 20, 30, and 50-amp service and room for rigs up to 40 feet. Sites come in two categories, water-and-electric back-in 30/50-amp and full-hookup pull-thru 30/50-amp, carrying water, sewer, and electric. Laundry, a bathhouse with showers, a general store, a dump station, a community fire pit, recycling, and a cabin cover the rest. Pets are welcome, with a dog park and a playground. Basketball and birding fill the grounds, and at five sites the park is quiet by default. Livingston sits along the Yellowstone River in the shadow of the Absaroka-Beartooth range, with Yellowstone National Park fifty miles south through the Paradise Valley — one of the most spectacular valley drives in the American West, and one of the great trout rivers anywhere. Rates for sites and the cabin are on the booking page. Five sites in Livingston during park season means booking as far ahead as they'll allow.
