Roundbunch Bayou RV Resort

Bridge City, Texas

101 RV Sites

On the bayou-laced landscape of Orange County in southeast Texas, Roundbunch Bayou RV Resort in Bridge City provides a full-hookup campground in the Gulf Coast's Golden Triangle region—a setting where the Sabine River delta, Sabine Lake, and the saltwater fishing of the Texas-Louisiana border zone combine to create an outdoor recreation environment defined by the tidal marsh, productive waterway, and coastal fishery character unique to the Texas Gulf Coastal Plain. Full hookup sites with 500 Mbps fiber Wi-Fi, a pet park, boating access, kayaking, and the bayou fishing that southeast Texas anglers have practiced for generations make Roundbunch Bayou a campground that serves the working-water outdoor recreation culture of the Golden Triangle with genuine character and practical infrastructure. Full-hookup back-in and pull-through sites with 20/30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections serve rigs of all sizes on grounds maintained with the meticulous care that the resort's all-inclusive billing and fiber internet signal. A bathhouse and laundry handle the practical daily needs, and grilling stations, community fire pits, and lawn games provide the social infrastructure for guests who spend evenings on the grounds after days on the water. Each site includes a picnic table and shade, and a fully enclosed pet park gives traveling animals off-leash exercise space. A playground and general store complete the family-friendly support package, and the 500 Mbps Wi-Fi connection supports remote workers with genuine bandwidth for video conferencing and file transfers. The bayou system surrounding Bridge City connects to Sabine Lake—the tidal estuary where the Sabine and Neches Rivers converge before draining into the Gulf of Mexico through Sabine Pass—providing access to one of the Texas Gulf Coast's most productive saltwater fisheries for speckled trout, red drum, and flounder in the shallow inshore grass flats. The Louisiana state line, just a few miles east, puts the campground within easy reach of the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge's 125,000-acre marshland—one of the Gulf Coast's most important waterfowl wintering areas and an outstanding venue for duck hunting during the Texas and Louisiana seasons. Beaumont, 20 miles west, serves as the commercial and cultural center of the Golden Triangle with the Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum commemorating the 1901 oil strike that launched the Texas petroleum industry, the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, and the Babe Didrikson Zaharias Memorial Museum honoring the greatest female athlete of the 20th century, born in nearby Port Arthur. Big Thicket National Preserve—a mosaic of nine distinct North American ecosystems in the southeast Texas woodland—offers hiking and wildlife observation in one of America's most biologically diverse terrestrial environments, about 30 miles north. The Neches River National Wildlife Refuge extends the ecological and birding opportunities in the bottomland hardwood forest corridor between Bridge City and Beaumont. Southeast Texas's Gulf Coastal climate supports year-round camping at Roundbunch Bayou, with the most comfortable conditions from October through April when the intense summer heat and humidity moderate to the mild temperatures that make Sabine Lake fishing and bayou paddling most pleasant. Duck and goose season from November through January represents the peak demand period when the Golden Triangle's hunting community fills campgrounds near the Sabine and Neches River marshes for weekend waterfowl hunts. Spring speckled trout fishing on Sabine Lake, peaking in April and May in the shallow grass flats, provides the second seasonal peak that makes the Golden Triangle a year-round fishing destination.
