Welcome to Redwoods River Resort, your place for family, friends, and fun in the Northern California Redwoods. Redwoods River Resort is nestled in the beautiful Northern California Redwoods, directly off Highway 101 & directly across from World Famous Confusion Hill. Family owned and operated for over 24 years, the park strives to provide each guest with a warm and comfortable family camping environment with a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Our Resort features a motel & cozy cabins both with kitchenettes and BBQs. You'll love our 2 bedroom, 2 bath + bunk room vacation with BBQ and fire ring. In addition to the rooms and cabins, we have RV sites with full hookups, tent camping sites & a beautiful group site with a brick BBQ. We offer a Clubhouse with a full kitchen that is also available for rent, that holds 60 people. In the summer of 2015, we added a beautiful Beer, Wine & Espresso bar that also serves hot food. There are two TVs so you don't have to miss your favorite sports event! It is located adjacent to the Recreation Room for kids and adults along with a cozy outdoor area with outdoor fire pits and a beautiful Bocce Ball court. We also have a small store to supply you with most items you might need. We offer a variety of free fun activities for guests of all ages. Our Recreation Room has air hockey, foosball, ping pong, a pool table, and satellite television. There are outdoor games such as Bocce Ball, giant Checkers & Twister board, giant Connect Four, giant Jenga, shuffleboard, volleyball, badminton, and horseshoes. Younger guests enjoy their choice of our two playgrounds, Camp Jordan (toddler playground) and Fort McCaffison. Summer visitors appreciate our heated pool and access to the Eel River, which has two wonderful swimming holes. You also might love the Friday Night Movie's in the Clubhouse, Rock Painting, Saturday night Ice Cream Social, and Karaoke by the Campfire! (May-Sept) We offer visitors a wide variety of accommodations as well as indoor and outdoor activities, which makes our place a wonderful get-a-way for Family Reunions, Weddings, Retreats or events. With our prime location on the Eel River, our proximity to several state parks, Confusion Hill, hiking and biking trails, and the abundance of our ancient giant Redwoods, we hope to be your next destination in the Northern California Redwoods! Park Amenities Full-Service Store - We have a full-service store located at the park entrance, you also find our inside. The store carries everything needed for your stay including firewood, ice, to beverages and food. Allowing you to spend time enjoying the Redwoods instead of driving 15 miles to the nearest for the one thing you forgot to bring. RV Sites - The park has many full hookup RV sites, some pull through as well. We also have sites with just electrical and water connections. If you wish to check out the locations of our sites please feel free to look at or download our Park Map. Tent Sites - The park has several tent sites (dry sites). Some sites are centrally located and close to everything, others are secluded in your own section of the Redwoods. Check the Park Map to see the locations of our tent sites. Rooms + Cabins - We have rooms of various sizes and cabins of various configurations. Handicap Accessible - We have a bathroom/shower facility that is Handicap Accessible and we have full size wheelchair accessible showers in the bathrooms.. Garbage + Recycling - Please do your part to help keep this world green - There are several garbage bins located throughout the park. See the Park Map for locations. Please make sure all garbage is bagged before placing it in the bins, and make sure the bins are closed to prevent animals from getting into the garbage. During the summer months we place several recycling centers next to the garbage bins. Simply follow the directions on the recycling centers and deposit your items in the proper bin. We do recycle cardboard, but we have no bin for that, if you wish to recycle cardboard simply place it next to a Recycling Center. Fire Pits + Barbecues - Each camp site and cabin has its own fire pit, and each motel room has it’s own barbecue & balcony. Please familiarize yourself with our Policies concerning the use of the fire pits. Picnic Tables + Day Use Picnics - At this time we are not accepting Day use. Bathrooms - The park has two bathroom/shower facilities centrally located and a bathroom in the Recreation Room that is open year round. There is a bathroom in the pool area as well that is accessible when the pool is open. Bathroom codes be needed for the campground bathroom; you get the code when you check in. You can look at the Park Map for the locations. Showers - Both bathroom facilities have hot showers that are cleaned daily. The main bathroom has large wheelchair accessible shower stalls for men or women. Laundry Room - The laundry will be CLOSED until the drought in California is over. We are on well water with a limited water supply. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hiking Trail - There is a 350 yard hiking trail that leads to the Eel River with miles of hiking up and down the river. See the Park Map for trailhead location. There are also lots of hiking opportunities in the general area. Please ask at the for the hiking trail guide that we have. Fishing - There is fishing in the Eel River in the Fall & Winter with a current fishing license. Salmon & Steelhead run when the river is high enough. In the summer it is all catch and release with artificial lures and barbless hooks only. Please see office for equipment or information about the best fishing locations and if any other restrictions are in effect or you can call the Fish and Game Department at 707-944-5500. Check here for the latest provisions on the South Fork of the Eel River http://www.eregulations.com/california/fishing/freshwater/waters-special-regulations-a-e/ Swimming - The park has a heated pool (May to mid-Oct, weather depending) for your enjoyment but you can also swim in the Eel River which is a warm river in the summer and swim in the great swimming holes Playgrounds - The park has two playgrounds, Fort McCaffison and Camp Jordan (toddler playground) as well as a volleyball/bad-mitten net. In the Recreation Room you find pool, air hockey, Foosball, and ping pong. The equipment needed to play these games can be checked out from the . There is also a horseshoe pit, shuffle board court, and ladder ball located in the park. WiFi - Sometimes you have to give up some modern conveniences to enjoy the wilderness! We use an outside company that provides WiFi, & it is not high-speed, but it's the best our area offers. So if you just want to check some email or social media sites, you should be just fine. We sell tickets for WiFi with faster speed in the store, starting at $5, or you can purchase slower WiFi directly from your device. Verizon Wireless has some coverage at the campground. Ice Cream Social & Karaoke - Saturdays are Ice-Cream Social & Karaoke Nights. Come on over to the Recreation Room to enjoy a delicious Ice Cream Sundae by the group campfire. (A nominal fee is charged and the event is subject to occupancy level.) Afterward, get your best singing voice ready to perform, it's fun for all ages. Hang around for intermission where you can dance along to some great group dance songs as well! Find The Rock - Your children have a great time on this Rock Hunt! Find the brightly colored rock in the park and win a prize! RECREATION: We have a brand new BOCCE BALL Court and Kids Fun Zone with giant checkers, Connect 4, Twister & Jenga! CHECK OUT TIME: - 11:00 AM - All accommodations. In order for us to have time to prepare the facilities for the guests who will be checking in. LATE ARRIVALS: - If you will be arriving after Store hours, we can arrange for a late check-in for you. If you do not arrive on your arrival date, your Room/Cabin or Site will be RELEASED after 10 am the following day, UNLESS we hear from you! Your deposit is non-refundable. LODGING POLICIES: - NO PETS (May-Sept) - NO SMOKING. A $250 Cleaning Fee be imposed for breaking these rules. - $75 Security Credit Card Authorization FOR ALL LODGING - $300 Security Credit Card Authorization for The Redwood Vacation : ~ These will be held on your credit card until departure. We hold this amount in case of damage to the property furnishings, dirt, or other mess requiring excessive cleaning. DEBIT CARDS WARNING: If you are using a DEBIT CARD, deposits will be held limiting your access to those. Any unused amounts upon checkout will be released and made available in accordance with the terms of YOUR banking institute's policy & could take up to 14 days. We have no control over the amount of time the is held and for this reason we do NOT recommend using Debit cards for your authorization. The Resort is not responsible for insufficient fees you may incur. CAMPGROUND: All RV & Water/Electric site rates are based on DOUBLE occupancy, additional person charges apply person, per night. Ages 5 & under are free. The maximum occupancy per site is 6 people (all ages), some sites hold less. We cannot guarantee requests for specific sites, though we'll do our best to accommodate you. The first two vehicles are free, each additional car is $10 per night. While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Spot2Nite booking fees are non-refundable. NOTE: We are a small, privately owned business and due to our small size, cancellations significantly affect our park. For this reason, we uphold a strict policy as we be turning away other bookings in honor of your reservation. Reservations require a payment of 50% deposit of the total cost of the reservation (including room tax if applicable) at the time of booking. Booking is effective only upon receipt of a 50% deposit. The final balance is due at check-in. Guest is responsible for all nights reserved (as indicated by the confirmation letter) regardless of the guest’s actual early or late arrival or departure. We highly encourage Trip Insurance. ROOMS/CABINS/VACATION /GROUP SITE/BUDDY SITE: Deposit = 50% of entire stay 30 days more - Penalty = 50% of 1st night only 29 days or less - Penalty = 50% of reservation becomes NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason. CAMPGROUND ONLY (except Special Events and large groups): Deposit = 50% of entire stay 14 days or more - Penalty = 50% of 1st night only 13 days or less - Penalty = 50% of reservation becomes NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason NO SHOWS: Forfeit the entire 50% deposit LARGE GROUP BOOKINGS: Have a 30-day Cancellation as above.
