Meadowlark RV Park
Creswell, Oregon
14 RV Sites
Meadowlark RV Park in Creswell, Oregon, provides a convenient and welcoming base along the I-5 corridor just south of Eugene, placing travelers squarely in the southern Willamette Valley's agricultural and recreational heartland. Equally suited for through-travelers logging miles on the Pacific Coast route and destination campers planning to explore the valley's wine country, covered bridges, and outdoor trails, the park offers straightforward freeway access without sacrificing the quiet, unhurried character that defines small-town Oregon at its best.
The park provides full hookup sites with water, electric, and sewer connections, accommodating a range of RV sizes on level, well-maintained pads. A dedicated dog park makes Meadowlark a practical and genuinely pet-friendly choice for travelers with four-legged companions—a feature that distinguishes the property from more restrictive campgrounds along this stretch of I-5. The grounds prioritize clean, functional infrastructure over elaborate amenities, with reliable utility connections and a well-organized layout that supports comfortable stays of any duration.
The southern Willamette Valley spreads out around Creswell with a pastoral beauty shaped by working grass-seed farms, diversified vegetable operations, and the forested foothills of the Oregon Coast Range to the west. The Willamette River's braided channels meander through the valley floor, supporting riparian habitat for great blue herons, osprey, and beavers. The climate is classically Pacific Northwest—wet winters and springs giving way to warm, dry summers with low humidity and long daylight hours that create exceptional conditions for cycling, hiking, and winery touring from June through September.
The Row River Trail, a paved multi-use path following a historic Sumpter Valley Railroad corridor, begins in Cottage Grove and winds alongside Row River and Dorena Reservoir for over 14 miles through forest and farmland—one of Oregon's finest rail-trail conversions and accessible within a short drive of camp. The Willamette Valley wine country extends north and west of Eugene, with acclaimed pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot gris producers open for tasting across the Eola-Amity Hills, Chehalem Mountains, and McMinnville AVAs. Cottage Grove's collection of seven historic covered bridges, some dating to the early twentieth century, offers a photogenic and leisurely afternoon excursion through the rural countryside south of camp.
Meadowlark RV Park is open year-round, with the driest and warmest months from June through September representing the prime window for valley exploration. Eugene's restaurants, the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, and the University of Oregon campus are under 20 minutes north, expanding dining and cultural options considerably for guests based at the park. For campers looking for a clean, affordable, and well-located base in the southern Willamette Valley with genuine pet-friendly infrastructure, Meadowlark delivers reliable Oregon hospitality at a fair price. The Willamette Valley's agricultural bounty also means fresh produce stands, u-pick berry farms, and local farmers' markets within easy driving distance of the park, adding a satisfying culinary dimension to summer and early fall visits for guests who enjoy sourcing local food during their travels.
