Lake Hudson Resort

Pryor, Oklahoma

63 RV Sites, 1 Cabin, 14 Tent Sites, 15 Glamping Sites

Fronting 2,000 feet of shoreline on Lake Hudson in Mayes County, Oklahoma, Lake Hudson Resort in Pryor delivers a lakeside RV camping experience built around the fishing, boating, and on-water recreation that define outdoor life in northeastern Oklahoma's reservoir country. The resort's extended lake frontage gives guests consistent water access from multiple points along the property, making it a practical destination for anglers, kayakers, and boaters who want the lake close at hand throughout their stay. The resort provides fully equipped RV hookup sites with high-speed internet available throughout the property, supporting guests who need connectivity during stays of varying length. A clubhouse with group activity space serves as the social hub for gathering between outdoor excursions, and on-site mini golf and foosball provide casual recreation options for families with younger guests or those looking for light entertainment at the end of a day on the water. The resort has continued to evolve its facilities and infrastructure, adding new features over time that reflect an ongoing commitment to improving the guest experience. Lake Hudson—a reservoir created by the impoundment of the Neosho River—is one of northeastern Oklahoma's most productive largemouth bass fisheries, with the lake's structure of submerged timber, rocky points, and creek channel intersections providing ideal habitat for bass across multiple size classes. The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation manages the lake for quality fishing, and bass tournaments are regularly held on Lake Hudson throughout the warmer months, drawing competitive anglers from across the region. Boating, kayaking, and lakeside recreation round out the water-based activity roster for guests not focused primarily on fishing. Pryor's position in Mayes County places Lake Hudson Resort within the broader geographic influence of the Cherokee Nation, whose tribal government is headquartered in Tahlequah approximately 35 miles to the south. Grand Lake of the Cherokees, one of Oklahoma's largest and most visited recreational reservoirs, lies within a 30-minute drive to the north and provides additional boating and fishing access for guests looking to explore beyond Lake Hudson. Tulsa, approximately 45 miles to the southwest via the Will Rogers Turnpike, offers metropolitan dining, museums, and cultural programming for guests seeking an urban day trip during a multi-night stay. Lake Hudson Resort is most active from spring through fall, with the bass fishing season peaking in spring as water temperatures warm following winter and again in the fall when cooling temperatures stimulate feeding activity. Summer brings consistent demand for lake recreation and family camping, and the resort's lakefront position makes warm-weather stays particularly appealing. Tours of the resort are available for prospective guests evaluating the property for longer stays, and the flexible approach to visit length accommodates everything from weekend fishing trips to extended summer lakeside residencies. Lake Hudson's position in the fertile northeastern Oklahoma terrain, surrounded by tallgrass and mixed-grass prairie and the oak-hickory woodlands of the Ozark foothills transition zone, gives the surrounding countryside a visual diversity that distinguishes it from the more open and exposed landscapes of central and western Oklahoma's reservoir campground destinations.
