4.04 reviewsAt Interstate 75 Exit 149 in Byron, Georgia—the heart of the Peach State's peach country between Macon and the Perry fairgrounds—Interstate RV Park offers the complete full-service RV stop for travelers working one of the Southeast's busiest north-south corridors. The park's combination of full hookup pull-through sites, a renovated bathhouse, summer swimming pool, dog park, and on-site RV dealership makes it one of the most comprehensively equipped I-75 stops in central Georgia, serving overnight travelers, week-long guests attending Georgia National Fairgrounds events in Perry, and extended-stay guests with work commitments in the Macon-Warner Robins-Perry metro corridor. When the priority is a reliable, well-managed stop in the middle of Georgia, Interstate RV Park delivers.
Full hookup sites with pull-through configurations accommodate rigs of every size without unhooking towed vehicles—an important practical consideration for travelers who plan to be back on the road in the morning. Newly renovated, secure bathhouses provide clean facilities, and a summer swimming pool gives guests a warm-weather cooling option after long driving days. A general store carries camping essentials and propane, on-site laundry handles washing needs, and paved roads throughout the property make maneuvering predictable in any weather condition. A recently added dog park serves the traveling pets that accompany many I-75 corridor guests, and the on-site RV dealership provides parts, service, and sales for guests who discover a mechanical issue or simply want to browse—a combination of services rare enough to be genuinely useful when the need arises.
Byron's position in the Georgia Piedmont's peach orchard belt puts the campground squarely in the midst of one of Georgia's most iconic agricultural landscapes. The peach orchards that line the roads north and south of I-75 in season—blooming in early spring and bearing fruit through summer—represent one of the South's most distinctive agricultural traditions, and the farm stands, u-pick operations, and local roadside vendors that populate the roadways are worth a slow drive and an afternoon investment. The landscape between Byron and Perry is rolling, wooded Georgia Piedmont at its most characteristic.
Macon, 20 miles north, provides a range of cultural destinations that reward the traveler who allocates an afternoon. Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park preserves the most significant pre-Columbian earthwork complex in the southeastern United States—ancient ceremonial mounds built by the Mississippian culture over a thousand years ago that provide a rare, moving encounter with North America's pre-contact past. The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, 15 miles east of Byron, is one of the four largest aviation museums in the United States, with more than 85 aircraft on display in a collection that traces military aviation from World War I through the present. Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival in early spring, centered on the city's extraordinary collection of Yoshino cherry trees, is one of Georgia's signature seasonal events.
Interstate RV Park operates year-round and serves the full range of I-75 corridor demand, from snowbirds heading south in fall and returning north in spring to Georgia National Fairgrounds event visitors in October. The park's proximity to the Fairgrounds makes it a preferred stop during the fair's two-week October run, and reservations are essential for those dates. Book your site and use Byron as the central Georgia base it genuinely is.

Literally just an overnight stay along our route. Used the electricity and dumped my tanks in the morning before departure. It was a convenient place to stay and find. Didn’t explore any of the amenities so no opinion either way.

The site was good, clean and ready for us. We were not aware that the office closed at 2:00 on a Saturday and also closed on a Sunday which was strange. Therefore, there wasn't any check in which was fine since our requested site was available. But, we did not have a wifi code and the after hours number do...Show more
