It all started with Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, a simple yet popular location in Buellton, CA. Weary travelers driving through California or visiting Solvang would stop by for a comfortable place to rest for a night or two before making their way to their next destination. Award-winning wineries and breweries began to emerge, and the area began to establish a reputation for having access to a diverse array of natural landscapes and historical points of interest. Now that the area had evolved, it was time for Flying Flags to shift from being a place to rest to becoming a destination all its own. Through a series of multi-million dollar renovations, Flying Flags transformed into a campground resort that exceeds the expectations of seasoned campers and novice adventurers alike. With the growth of Flying Flags came the catalyst for establishing Highway West Vacations, a brand dedicated to securing locations in some of the most desirable areas in the Western United States and offering amenities and accommodations that are unparalleled in the camping world. With twelve locations and a streamlined acquisitions pipeline, our brand continues to grow as we welcome new campgrounds and boutique hotels to the Highway West Vacations family.

Check-In Time: - RV Sites: 12:30 PM. - Cottages, Tent Rentals & Vintage Trailers: 4:00 PM. - Please make prior arrangements if you expect to arrive after office hours. - RVs and hospitality units may use night registration. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Check-Out Time: - All Sites: 11:00 AM. - The front desk may be able to arrange a late checkout if available. Additional fees may apply. - In order to ensure availability for incoming guests, please plan prompt departures. Resort Fees: - When you book a stay at Flying Flags, we will automatically add a small Resort Fee to your total cost: $10 per night for RV sites and $20 per night for hospitality units like cabins, cottages, Airstreams, or safari tents. - This fee is not included in the amount owing total listed above but will be processed with the final balance 3 days prior to arrival. - Proceeds will go toward year-round maintenance of our high-quality amenities such as pools, community firepits, dog parks, and fitness centers. (* amenities subject to availability due to private events or renovations). Pet Policy: - RV & Tent Sites: Pets welcome and must be registered at the Front Desk upon arrival. - Hospitality Units: 2 pets max, 50 lbs. or smaller. A one-time non-refundable pet fee of $50.00 will apply. - For the protection of, and in consideration of our guests, noisy, vicious, or unruly pets are not allowed. - Guests who are unable to control their pets must remove them from the premises, or the animal may be taken by local animal control authorities. - Exotic pets are strictly prohibited. Smoking Policy: - Smoking is prohibited in all indoor accommodations and within 25 feet of any building or entrance—outdoor smoking in designated locations only. - A violation of the no-smoking policy may result in a fine of up to $250. Recreation: - Due to guest privacy, drones are prohibited on the campground. Rates: - Rates include the first 2 people at the site. A $5 fee applies for each extra person up to a max of 6 per site. - Children under age 6 are not charged. However, they do count toward the site maximum. - Only 1 SLEEPING UNIT (a tent or RV) is permitted at a site. - There are no refunds for early departures. Cottages, Safari Tents & Vintage Trailers: - All linens are furnished in the unit. - Cottages have a full kitchen and basic cooking/serving supplies. - Airstreams & Safari Tents do not have stoves but do have a BBQ, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and refrigerator. - Housekeeping is not provided during your stay, but we are happy to exchange towels upon request.
Cancellation, Pre-Payment Policy, and Minimum Night Stay: - RV & Tent Site: 3-day advance notice required or forfeited first-night deposit - Hospitality Units: 10-day advance notice required or forfeited first-night deposit - Cancellations made prior to the required advance notice will receive their deposit. - Cancellations must be made by phone during business hours. - Friday and Saturday night reservations require a minimum 2-night stay. - There are no refunds for early departure. Major Holiday/Special Event Cancellation Policy: - All cancellations are subject to forfeit of 1st night’s stay. - Reservations require a minimum deposit equal to the first night at the time of reservation. - Applies to all RV & Tent sites and Hospitality Units.
