Fairview Park Camping & Marina brings together the quiet pleasures of the Lavase River and easy access to Lake Nipissing in a peaceful, well-located campground just minutes from downtown North Bay, Ontario. Situated along the river with a marina and boat slips on-site, this North Bay campground is a natural destination for anglers, boaters, and families seeking a serene waterside retreat within reach of everything a northern Ontario city has to offer. Over 40 seasonal sites — including cottage-style accommodations — line the property, with full RV hookups and tent sites providing options for all types of campers. The marina's boat slips make arriving by water a genuine option, and the Lavase River location provides calm waterway access for kayaks and canoes before the current broadens toward Lake Nipissing two kilometers downstream. Pets are welcome throughout the park, and fine dining and a golf course are both located approximately one kilometer from the campground entrance. The Lavase River setting is quintessentially Northern Ontario — clear water, forested banks, and a natural quiet that reminds visitors why this corner of Canada draws outdoor enthusiasts from across the province and beyond. The surrounding landscape transitions from riverside meadows to the boreal forest character that defines the broader North Bay region in every direction. Lake Nipissing is the area's dominant natural draw — a vast, island-dotted lake providing some of the finest walleye and muskie fishing in Ontario, as well as excellent opportunities for boating, paddling, and beach relaxation along its sandy shores. Downtown North Bay, just five kilometers from the campground, offers restaurants, boutique shopping, and cultural venues, along with the Chief Commanda II — a cruise ship that runs narrated sightseeing tours on Lake Nipissing throughout the summer season. Fairview Park Camping & Marina is particularly well-suited to seasonal campers who return summer after summer for the fishing, the river setting, and the proximity to North Bay's city amenities. Year-round trailer parks in North Bay, Ontario are rare, and Fairview campground's established community of returning guests speaks to its standing as one of the most dependable waterside destinations in the region. Book early for peak summer weeks, when boat slips and waterfront sites are always in highest demand.
