Crescent RV Park

Crescent, Oregon

10 Tent Sites

In Crescent, Oregon—in Klamath County at the eastern base of the Cascade Range where the pumice desert and ponderosa pine forests of the Oregon High Desert transition from the volcanic peaks of the Cascades to the open sage country beyond, and where the snowmobile trails, the ski resorts, and the crater lake that has defined Oregon's most famous natural landmark since its volcanic birth create a four-season outdoor recreation landscape of exceptional range—Crescent RV Park provides year-round full hookup sites, cable television, and WiFi in the central Klamath County position that puts Crater Lake, Mount Bachelor's ski terrain, Willamette Pass, and Crescent Lake within practical day-trip range from a single base. The year-round operation is the distinguishing practical fact for winter visitors who need infrastructure when the region's ski and snowmobile season is at its peak. Full hookup RV sites with 30 and 50-amp electric, water, and sewer service operate year-round, and the park's cable television, high-speed WiFi, hot showers, and coin-operated laundry maintain the daily amenity infrastructure across all seasons. The immediate Crescent commercial corridor—Ken's Sporting Goods and Liquor Store, a gas station, a convenience store, restaurant options, and a US Forest Service station—places the daily supply and information needs within walking distance of the campground in a small-town arrangement that eliminates the driving logistics that rural campground provisioning typically requires. The proximity to forest service infrastructure specifically is worth noting for guests planning off-road or backcountry activities in the Deschutes and Winema National Forests that surround the Crescent community. Crater Lake National Park—accessible from Crescent via Highway 97 north and the Rim Drive approach—provides the volcanic caldera and cobalt-blue lake that has defined Oregon's most visited natural attraction since its 1902 designation as the state's only national park. The lake's 1,943-foot depth makes it the deepest lake in the United States, and its exceptional clarity—filtered through the volcanic pumice that lines the caldera with no surface runoff feeding its water—produces the blue color intensity that photographs reliably fail to capture at the actual saturation visitors experience from the rim. Crescent Lake, minutes from the campground, provides the warm-water fishing, swimming, and boating access that the alpine lake setting makes most rewarding in summer, combined with over 100 miles of snowmobile trails in winter that the Crescent Lake snowmobile community accesses across the Cascade winter season. Mount Bachelor's ski terrain—accessible via Highway 58 west through Willamette Pass—provides the downhill skiing and snowboarding that makes the Cascade Range's eastern-slope communities a viable winter destination for guests willing to drive 40 minutes to the mountain. Hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and fishing in the surrounding Klamath County public lands fill the summer calendar with the outdoor programming that Cascade Range positioning consistently provides. Crescent RV Park operates year-round, making it one of the few full hookup options in Klamath County that winter visitors can rely on when the national forest campgrounds around it have closed for the snow season. Summer hiking and lake recreation and winter ski and snowmobile access represent the two distinct demand seasons. Reserve your site, check the Crater Lake Rim Drive opening date in spring, and let Crescent's central Klamath County position make the case for using a single base to explore both the volcano and the ski mountain.
