Countryside RV Park
Greenville, Texas
81 RV Sites
On the rolling farmland of Hunt County in northeast Texas, 45 miles northeast of Dallas on Interstate 30, Countryside RV Park provides a clean, full-service campground in the quiet community of Greenville—a park that combines 92 spacious sites, competitive full hookup infrastructure, and a welcoming staff culture anchored by the campground's signature free coffee bar into a highway destination that travelers consistently rate above the surrounding northeast Texas campground competition. The 157 Bethel Road address puts guests equidistant between the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and the I-30 corridor's northeast Texas communities, making Countryside a natural base for both long-distance travelers resting between destinations and Dallas visitors who want rural pricing without sacrificing full hookup access.
Ninety-two spacious RV sites with sewer, water, and 20/30/50-amp electric hookups include pull-through options for the largest rigs and covered sites for monthly guests who appreciate the shade during northeast Texas summers. A clean and spacious bathhouse, dedicated laundry facilities, and a general store provide practical daily support, and the free coffee bar—stocked with a range of coffees and hot cocoa—provides the welcoming morning ritual that transforms a functional campground stop into something guests remember and return to. The pet-friendly policy and open grass areas make the campground equally accommodating for traveling pets, and the bird and wildlife watching that the surrounding Hunt County farmland enables adds an unexpected natural dimension to an otherwise practical highway campground.
Greenville, the Hunt County seat, sits at the center of a northeast Texas agricultural landscape of cattle ranches, hay farms, and the blackland prairie soils stretching from the Dallas exurbs to the Ark-La-Tex border. Lake Tawakoni, a 36,700-acre reservoir on the Sabine River about 25 miles southeast of Greenville, provides one of the region's most productive fishing lakes for bass, white bass, crappie, and the blue and channel catfish inhabiting the lake's deep channels year-round. The lake's extensive shoreline, much of it accessible from Tawakoni State Park on the lake's south bank, makes it the primary outdoor recreation destination for the Hunt County and Rockwall County communities east of Dallas.
The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, within 45 miles via I-30, provides the full urban amenity spectrum for guests who want the metropolitan experience from a rural base—the American Airlines Center's concert and sports programming, Fair Park's museums and the Cotton Bowl, and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science's world-class natural history collections. Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney, about 30 miles west, provides a curated natural history experience more proportionate to a day-trip from Greenville, and the East Texas State Fair in nearby Commerce celebrates Hunt County's agricultural heritage each September. Lake Ray Hubbard, one of the Dallas area's most popular recreational lakes, lies just 30 miles west.
Northeast Texas's humid subtropical climate delivers warm springs, hot summers, and mild winters that make Countryside RV Park functional year-round for travelers and extended-stay residents. Spring thunderstorm season from March through May brings the dramatic weather that the South Plains corridor is known for, and the open Hunt County sky provides unobstructed views of the lightning displays that afternoon storms produce. Summer heat intensifies by July and August but the covered monthly sites, laundry, and bathhouse air conditioning provide relief, and the quiet autumn weather from September through November represents the most comfortable season for extended northeast Texas stays.
