About

Looking for a Vintage American Camping Vacation? Clear Lake Campground is a small vintage campground established in the 1950s. Camp right on Cache Creek, the only outlet of Clear Lake. The campground is on Cache Creek, and a car or boat is required to get to Clear Lake. For lake fishing, Redbud Park, Highlands Park, and Austin Park are all within a ten-minute drive from Camp. Austin Park also has a playground and swimming beach. The park offers rustic charm with great fishing and bird watching right from your campsite. We have a boat launch for your kayak, canoe, or motorboat, and we have canoe and kayak rentals. Cool off in the small pool. Challenge your family to a ping pong tournament or corn toss game. Lake County guests enjoy stunning vistas, world-class wines, the largest freshwater lake in California, the cleanest air in the US, and endless outdoor activities. Activities include fishing, birding, kayaking, biking, hiking, and wine tasting. Our staff have been trained as tourism ambassadors and can help you make the most of your vacation. Explore our blog for activities and things to do near Camp (https://www.campclearlake.com/blog/category/activities). Travel trailers, campers, tents, and RVs are all welcome. Most sites include water, sewer, and 30 amp electricity. Limited wifi. Campsites are hard-packed dirt. Clear Lake Campground is located on Cache Creek, the only outlet of Clear Lake. Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is just across the creek and is home to great blue herons, egrets, osprey, deer, otter, and more wildlife. We offer waterfront camping where you can fish right from your own campsite. We also offer pull-through and standard back-in sites. Tent campers are welcome and maybe next to an RV. Canvas Bell Tents are new in 2021! Please note: our small vintage campground is best suited to small trailers and motor coaches. We can accommodate a 30-foot RV/motorhome or a total tow package length of up to 35 feet (tow vehicle + trailer = 35 feet). If you are slightly over this length, please call to see if we can accommodate you. All sites have water, electricity, sewer, a picnic table, and a barbecue or fire ring. You may need a 30 amp adaptor if you want to plug in a two-prong electrical cord as you have at home. Adaptors are available to rent in the Camp Office/Store. Highway 53 is the eastern border of the campground and the highway sounds may be considered white noise to some or a nuisance to others.
