Welcome to Cape Charles, formerly the Cherrystone Family Camping Resort! There is a reason we're considered the best family camping resort in the Mid-Atlantic region! We've got it all and then some! At Cape Charles, you'll find over 300 acres of waterfront on the Chesapeake Bay with over 700 sites, many shaded by tall trees. Our many features include camping cabins, on-site camper rentals, five swimming pools, four fishing piers, a beautiful beach, a large dog park, and their very own dog beach, a newly renovated Cafe/Lounge, a well-stocked General Store, and the Bait and Tackle Shop. Rules

RESERVATION POLICIES PAYMENT All nightly and weekly reservations require a deposit of two nights or half of your stay, whichever is greater. Monthly reservations require a deposit of $500. Any balances are due upon arrival. Personal checks are not accepted at check-in. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT RV/Tent Sites Check-in Time: 2 p.m. Check-Out Time: 11 a.m. Vacation Rentals Check-in Time: 3 p.m. Check-Out Time: 11 a.m. Early check-in may be available for $30; contact the resort office the morning of your arrival for availability. Late check-outs may be available for $30; check with the resort office on your day of departure for availability. Any guests that have not shown up 24 hours after their check-in time, and have not made prior arrangements with the resort staff, will be considered a no-show reservation and forfeit their deposit. SITE LOCATIONS & TENT ACCOMMODATIONS All site numbers are subject to change prior to arrival unless a site lock fee was paid with your reservation. All certified RV types are permitted unless prevented by specific site constraints. Tents and conversion vans are only permitted on designated tent sites. Only one pup tent may act as a secondary unit on a site at the discretion of Sun Outdoors as site size allows, and must be taken down during the day. Dining canopy tents are permitted, but may not be up in conjunction with a pup tent. Sites must be cleaned up of garbage and debris prior to departure. Additional charges may result for sites requiring additional cleaning. PERMITTED OCCUPANTS All reservations include a maximum of 6 guests unless otherwise stated. Rates are based on the maximum occupancy of the site. The individual reserving the site must be a minimum of 18 years of age and be physically present at the time of check-in. VISITORS Campers are responsible for their visitors. Each visitor must register at the welcome center and pay the visitor fee, which is $10 per person, per day. Visitors may stay overnight following their day access as long as the site does not exceed the maximum occupants. AMENITIES & FACILITIES We encourage you to visit the individual property website for specific information and dates relating to on-site amenity closures and other property-specific information. Please remember that all amenities are on a seasonal and weather-dependent schedule that may have limited hours during the spring and fall. We reserve the right to close any facilities at our discretion without prior notice. Please refer to posted rules and regulations throughout the property for additional information on our amenities. Specific locations require guests to display their property-issued wristbands at all times while on-site, as well as for access to amenities. GENERAL RULES QUIET HOURS Our quiet time is from 11 p.m. - 8 a.m. daily, but please be courteous to your fellow guests during all hours of the day. During quiet hours, there is no loud talking, loud radios, loud televisions, or other loud noises allowed. The use of generators are not permitted on the property. We do enforce a curfew - anyone under 18 years of age may not leave their site or rental after 11 p.m. unless it is to and from restroom facilities accompanied by an adult. RESPECT YOUR NEIGHBOR Please be considerate of your neighbors' privacy and space. Do not walk on, or pass through the site of another guest. Respect our local culture, wildlife, and other guests. Please be mindful of our local bylaws and conservation of resources. Sun Outdoors is proud to promote an inclusive and family-friendly atmosphere at all of our properties. Offensive or intolerant language and actions will not be tolerated, included with respect to race, religion, sexual orientation, or political views, and the presence or existence of any language, actions, visuals or symbols (e.g. visuals depicting confederate flags, swastikas, racial slurs, etc.) that may be deemed to be offensive will not be permitted on the property. We reserve the right to immediately terminate a booking and evict any guest, without refund, for failure to comply with these rules and/or staff's request for you to remove the display of any offensive visuals or symbols. SMOKING & ALCOHOL There is no smoking allowed in vacation or cottage rentals, restroom and shower facilities, indoor facilities, common areas, or any outdoor amenities. Smoking is allowed on your own site as long as it is done so in a way that will not directly or indirectly impact the experience of other guests. Alcohol is permitted by legal drinking age adults as long as it is done so in a way that will not directly or indirectly impact the experience of other guests. Alcohol must be consumed in a responsible manner. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. SITE SAFETY Each site is provided one table, as well as one fire pit if allowed by local regulations. Please do not burn or leave trash in fire pits, and please do not move fire pits without permission from the staff. All fires must be contained to the pit/ring, and campfires are permitted from 8 a.m. to midnight. Never leave a fire unattended. County bans may occur and will be posted at the office. Any chemicals or toxic materials must remain locked up at all times, or safely removed from the access of children or animals. PETS We are a pet-friendly resort but pets may not disturb other guests and must be cleaned up after by owners. Pets must always be on a leash and restrained when not confined inside an RV, and no pet may be left unattended outside of an RV, even on the site. There is a maximum of two pets per reservation with a $50 non-refundable fee per reservation for any pet in a vacation or cottage rental. Pets are the responsibility of the owner. Management reserves the right to remove or restrict disruptive or aggressive pets. All pets must also be up to date on vaccines, and copies of pet vaccine records must be available upon request. Upon check-in, please notify the office of your pets if you have not already added them to your reservation during the booking process. GARBAGE & RECYCLING Any garbage and recycling are to be put in the designated areas, garbage bins, and recycling receptacles located on the resort map at locations that offer these services. SEWER HOOKUP All sewer hoses must be undamaged, and sewer connections must be tight. Replacement sewer hoses and sewer donuts can be purchased at the welcome center or general store. WASTEWATER The discharge of any wastewater (septic or grey water) is strictly prohibited. Formaldehyde products are not permitted. PARKING & RESORT ROADS Two vehicles, inclusive of one RV, are included with each reservation as determined by Sun Outdoors and as space allows. Additional vehicles are $10 per day and subject to the availability of parking in designated areas. All vehicles must have a parking pass from the office upon check-in. Please ensure your guest tag is visible at all times with your proper departure date. Towing is enforced at the guests expense. All guests must stay within resort property boundaries. No trespassing on neighboring land is permitted. SPEED LIMIT Please obey posted speed limits on property. Failure to obey speed limits may result in removal from the property without refund. TRANSPORTATION Non-motorized skateboards, scooters, roller blades, roller skates, and bicycles are permitted to be utilized as long as they are done so in a safe and quiet manner. Motorized items such as drones, motorbikes, hoverboards, and similar motorized recreational items are prohibited. UTVs, ATVs, and large terrain vehicles are prohibited except when connecting to adjacent trails, which are only available at select locations. GATE ACCESS Any lost or unreturned gate cards will result in a $25 replacement fee. Gate access cards are only applicable at specific locations; not all locations are gated, or require a gate card. GOLF CARTS In addition to the rules contained in the rental cart agreement to be signed by each guest renting a golf cart from the property, all guests must comply with the following rules governing the use of golf carts on property. Each guest owning a golf cart is solely responsible for ensuring that all operators of the golf cart are a minimum of 16 years of age and possess a valid driver's license (moped licenses, learning permits, etc. are not acceptable). Golf carts must have their lights (if equipped) turned on at all times while in operation after sunset. No golf carts may be operated after sunset without headlights. Golf carts shall not be operated during quiet hours from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Golf carts must be operated properly. Horseplay, racing or other misuse of guest-owned golf carts will not be tolerated. Guest-owned golf carts are to be operated on blacktop or gravel roadways only. No driving through RV sites or other restricted areas. OPERATION OF GOLF CARTS WHILE CONSUMING OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL, MARIJUANA OR ILLICIT DRUGS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. A golf cart's maximum seating capacity must never be exceeded. Operators and passengers of a guest-owned golf cart must be seated at all times while the golf cart is in motion. BIKES Don't forget your bike helmet. In addition to following local regulations, we recommend that all riders wear a helmet while riding a bicycle. Bike riders must obey the same rules of the road as a motor vehicle. When operating a bike after sunset, you must have a light on both the front and back of the bike. These lights may be purchased from the welcome center or store. FIREWORKS The use of fireworks, including sparklers and explosives of any kind, are not permitted under any circumstances. Anyone caught with fireworks may result in removal from the property without refund. FIREARMS & WEAPONS Guests must obey all federal, state and local laws regarding the ownership and possession of firearms. Firearms are not permitted in any property buildings or common areas. The only exception is that guests may have a firearm in a locked, private vehicle in parking areas if permitted by law. The discharge of firearms, BB guns, air guns/rifles, or similar devices is strictly prohibited. GENERAL CONDUCT & REMOVAL Guests are required at all times to comply with all rules and regulations posted at the property as well as directions of the resort team. We reserve the right to remove anyone in violation of these rules and regulations from the resort. EMERGENCY - Dial 911 in case of an emergency. Rules and Regulations are subject to change without notice. While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY Nightly/Weekly Stays: For all stays shorter than 30 nights, no refunds are given on or after arrival. Cancellations made at least 14 days in advance will be refunded in the form that was used for the payment. Deposits will be forfeited for all reservations canceled less than 14 days prior to your arrival date. Monthly Stays: For all stays of 30 nights or longer, no refunds will be given on or after arrival. Cancellations made at least 45 days in advance will be refunded in the form that was used for payment. Deposits will be forfeited for all reservations canceled less than 45 days prior to your arrival date. Spot2Nite convenience fees are non-refundable.
