Camp Trinidad RV Resort has been a cherished destination on the North Coast for over 40 years. As locals who grew up immersed in the natural beauty of this region, we are honored to carry on its legacy while adding our own unique twist. This isn’t just a business for us—it’s a dream come true. Camp Trinidad is perfectly located just 15 minutes from the awe-inspiring Redwood National Park and only moments from the charming town of Trinidad. Our 12-acre campground offers 49 RV sites with full hookups, WiFi, and plenty of room to relax. Whether you’re hiking among the world’s tallest trees, exploring the nearby coastline, or winding down in one of our cozy rental cabins, there’s something here for everyone.

These Terms & Conditions are designed to keep our campground safe, peaceful, and enjoyable for everyone. By making a reservation, checking in, or entering the property, you agree to follow the policies below. Please review them carefully—especially the sections on registration, visitors, pets, vehicles, and cancellations.
Important: Policies are subject to change or update by Camp Trinidad RV Resort at any time. The most current version will always apply.
1. Definitions
RV: A motorhome, travel trailer, truck camper, camping trailer, or park model as defined by California Health & Safety Code §18010 and Civil Code §799.29.
Park / Camp Trinidad RV Resort: 3443 Patricks Point Drive, Trinidad, CA.
Owner / Management: The owners and authorized management of Camp Trinidad RV Resort.
Guest(s): Any registered occupant, family member, invitee, or visitor.
Lot / Site: The RV site rented by a Guest.
2. Registration & Occupancy
All Guests must have a signed registration agreement on file. Extended-stay Guests must sign in person.
All occupants—including children—must be registered with the Camp Store office.
Children under 18 must be documented for emergency purposes.
Maximum occupancy: 4 persons per Site.
Up to 6 persons permitted with a $10 per person, per day fee.
More than 6 persons require renting an additional Site.
At least one occupant must be the RV’s registered owner and must remain onsite for the duration of the stay.
The registered Guest is responsible for the conduct of all members of their party.
Property damage will be assessed and charged based on severity.
3. Vehicles & Parking
Speed limit: 5 MPH throughout the Park.
One vehicle per Site is included.
A second vehicle requires a $10 per day fee and must park in designated overflow parking.
No parking in empty Sites, in front of other RVs, or blocking roadways.
Boats, ATVs, trailers, commercial vehicles, buses, or oversized vehicles require prior management approval.
Vehicles must be registered, insured, operable, and roadworthy.
No vehicle repairs, oil changes, or washing on Park property.
Inoperative or stored vehicles are not permitted.
Traffic violations may result in warnings; repeated violations may result in removal without refund.
4. Visitors Policy
All visitors must check in at the Camp Store office upon arrival.
Visitor parking pass fee: $5 per vehicle.
After-hours arrivals must be reported by phone message with visitor name and license plate number.
Visitor fees will be charged to the card on file the next business day.
Visitors must park in designated overflow areas only.
Visitors are welcome until quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM.
Failure to report visitors will result in a $15 fee and warning.
5. RV Standards & Sales
RVs must be 10 years old or newer and be operable and movable, registered and insured.
Older RVs may be approved at management’s discretion if they:
Are fully operable and movable
Have current registration and insurance
Are self-contained
Are clean, safe, and in good condition (no broken windows, leaks, rust, or unsightly appearance)
Copy of insurance must be current and on file in the Park office.
Registration tags must be current and on the RV/vehicle.
No fences, storage buildings, or permanent modifications allowed.
Spray painting or utility work must be completed by licensed contractors only.
Guests may not place liens against the Park.
Upon sale or transfer (including inheritance), the RV must be removed from the Park.
Only environmentally friendly products are allowed in holding tanks as per CA SB § 25210.2
6. Tent Camping
Tents at RV Sites: $15 per day.
Tents must be placed on the RV pad—not on grass or outside the Site.
Tent Sites: Maximum of 2 tents unless approved with an additional $15 per day fee.
7. Quiet Hours & Noise
Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM.
Excessive noise, yelling, or music audible to neighboring Sites is prohibited.
Radios, TVs, instruments, and speakers must be used respectfully at all times.
8. Pet Policies
RV Sites: Maximum 2 pets included; 1 additional pet allowed for $5 per day (max 3).
Cabins: Maximum 1 pet included; 1 additional pet allowed for $5 per day (max 2).
Pets must be leashed and supervised at all times.
Pets may not be left unattended.
No aggressive or disruptive animals.
Pet waste must be picked up and disposed of immediately.
No pets allowed in bathrooms or laundry rooms.
No washing pets or pet bedding in Park facilities.
Pet bites or incidents must be reported immediately; removal may be required.
9. Children & Safety
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Helmets are required for bikes, scooters, and skateboards per California law.
Children must be supervised in the hot tub, playground, and common areas.
Repeated safety violations may result in removal without refund.
Children age 3 and under stay free but must be registered.
10. Prohibited Items & Activities
Illegal drugs, public intoxication, or drug-related activity
Firearms, weapons, or fireworks
Generators in tent areas (unless approved for medical use)
Dumping gray or black water on the ground
Washing dishes, personal items, or pets in bathrooms
Space heaters or electric heaters
11. Hot Tub & Community Areas
Hot tub hours: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
No minors without adult supervision.
Community fire pits must be used responsibly.
Clean up all trash and debris after use.
12. Utilities, Garbage & Environmental Safety
Only Park-authorized personnel may perform utility repairs.
No generators unless Park power is unavailable.
Garbage bins are for household trash only.
No furniture, electronics, or large-item disposal.
Cardboard must be broken down.
No rodenticides.
Use only environmentally friendly products per California law.
Toilets: bio-waste and 1-ply paper only.
13. Surveillance & Photography
Audio/video surveillance is used in common areas.
By entering the property, Guests consent to photography or videography for promotional use.
One Ring-style doorbell permitted per RV.
Cameras may not be directed at other Sites.
14. Conduct & Enforcement
No harassment, threats, abusive language, or disorderly conduct.
Zero tolerance for illegal drug activity.
Substantial disturbances may result in immediate removal without refund, including:
Loud arguments or music
Repeated police involvement
Fireworks or weapons
Unsafe or unsightly Sites or RVs
Pets causing repeated disturbances
15. Insurance & Liability
Camp Trinidad RV Resort does not insure Guest property.
Guests must maintain current RV insurance.
Insurance must be current and on file in the Park office.
16. Cabins & Departure
Cabins must be broom-swept with trash removed.
Excessive cleaning, pet damage, or smoking will incur fees starting at $125–$250.
Damage charges may include lost keys, broken items, stains, or misuse of equipment.
Items left behind are not the responsibility of the Park.
17. Check-In, Payment & Reservations
RV Check-in: 2:00 PM | Cabin Check-in: 4:00 PM
Late arrivals must notify the Camp Store.
Reservations must be paid in full prior to check-in.
Site changes may occur to accommodate Park operations.
Site Lock Fee: $15 to guarantee a specific Site.
18. Deposits
30+ days out: 25% deposit (RVs)
15–29 days out: 50% deposit (RVs)
Within 14 days: 100% due
Cabins: 50% deposit or the equivalent of one night’s stay plus tax due at time of booking
19. Cancellation Policy
30+ days before arrival: Full refund minus $50 fee
15–29 days: 50% refund minus $50 fee
Within 14 days: Non-refundable
Cancellations must be made by phone or email during office hours.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
In accordance with California law, reservations made directly with Camp Trinidad for cabin rentals only may be cancelled within 24 hours of booking for a full refund, provided the scheduled arrival date is at least 72 hours from the time of booking.
20. Legal Notice
Guests rent a temporary space only and receive no tenancy or ownership rights.
Management reserves the right to remove any Guest for rule violations, unsafe behavior, nonpayment, or disruption.
21. Acknowledgment
By signing electronically or in person, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. I accept responsibility for myself, my Guests, and my pets. Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.
All Sites are the property of Camp Trinidad RV Resort. The Park is not responsible for personal items left onsite. Credit card information is stored and processed securely.
Cancellation Policy
Campground Cancellation Policy
30+ Days Before Arrival
- Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to your arrival date will receive a full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee.
14-29 Days Before Arrival
- Cancellations made between 14 and 29 days before your scheduled arrival date will receive a 50% refund, minus the $50 cancellation fee.
Within 7 Days of Arrival
- Cancellations made within 7 days of your arrival date are non-refundable, and you will be charged the full amount of your reservation, plus the $50 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations must be made by phone or email during office hours for consideration.
- The $50 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations, regardless of the notice period.
- We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your reservation in case of unforeseen changes.
- All Spot2Nite reservations require payment in full at the time of booking.

- Spot2Nite convenience fees and credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
