Opened in 2022 in the heart of Alabama's Gulf Coast corridor, Blue Heron Escape RV Resort brings modern resort infrastructure to Foley—the commercial hub of Baldwin County and the gateway community for Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, two of the Gulf Coast's most popular beach destinations. The resort's 83 full-hookup sites occupy concrete pads designed with big-rig comfort in mind, and the combination of wide paved streets, a zero-entry heated pool with shallow water lounge, and a well-appointed clubhouse establishes this as one of the Gulf Coast's most polished recent additions to the campground landscape. White sand beaches on the Gulf lie less than 15 miles south, making the resort a practical and affordable base for multi-day beach itineraries. All 83 sites feature concrete pads with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections, with both standard and premiere double-occupancy pull-through configurations available for travelers with longer rigs. The zero-entry heated pool is designed with a shallow water lounge area for wading guests of all ages, and the pool's temperature-controlled water ensures comfortable swimming from morning through evening across the long Gulf Coast shoulder season. Modern laundry facilities, large private shower stalls, and the fully equipped clubhouse with games round out the guest infrastructure. The resort's gated, landscaped grounds and paved streets contribute to the polished, well-maintained environment that first-time visitors note immediately on arrival. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach lie 12 to 15 miles south via Gulf Shores Parkway, placing the resort within a direct and uncomplicated drive to the Gulf's powdery white quartz sand beaches, emerald water, and the suite of watersport rental and fishing charter operations that line the shore. The Gulf State Park's award-winning nature center and its 28 miles of hiking and biking trails through coastal dune, lake, and marsh habitats provide a quieter side of the beach experience for guests who want wildlife and conservation education alongside their beach days. Perdido Key, straddling the Florida-Alabama border, extends the beach access in a more secluded direction for those seeking fewer crowds. Foley's commercial district has grown substantially to serve the tourism economy, with the Tanger Outlets, OWA theme and entertainment park, and a growing restaurant scene providing full-day diversions that require no beach drive at all. The Coastal Alabama Discovery Campus and Gulf Shores Waterfront District add educational and entertainment variety for families with school-age children who want a break from pure beach and pool routine. Fort Morgan, with its 1833 Civil War fortifications at the tip of the peninsula and the adjacent Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, lies about 35 miles west for guests interested in coastal history and migrant bird watching at one of the Gulf Coast's most important stopover points. Peak season at Blue Heron Escape runs from spring break through Labor Day, when Baldwin County's beaches draw visitors from across the Southeast and Midwest. Winter brings milder-than-most coastal temperatures to Foley along with lighter crowds, making the resort a viable snowbird option for travelers who want Gulf Coast access without Florida prices. The resort's relative newness means facilities remain in excellent condition—a meaningful advantage for travelers who have experienced the wear at older properties. Reserve well ahead for summer holiday weekends, when beach traffic fills both campgrounds and hotels throughout the Alabama Gulf Coast.

Nice clean campground with level, concrete pads and full hook ups. Nice and helpful owner. Close to restaurants and the beach but a very quiet location at night.
