Lagoon Ranch RV Resort

Onalaska, Texas

145 RV Sites, 1 Cottage

Lagoon Ranch Luxury RV and Cabin Resort occupies prime real estate on the shores of Lake Livingston in Onalaska, Texas, offering a resort-caliber lakeside experience that centers on the only lagoon pool of its kind in the state. The 90,000-acre Lake Livingston is one of Texas's largest reservoirs, and lagoon ranch leverages its position on the lake to deliver both the water access that drew guests to the region and the full-service amenities that keep them coming back. The resort's signature feature is its 180,000-gallon lagoon pool—a freestanding tropical water feature with a swim-up bar, shaded cabanas, and an adjacent hot tub that transforms a typical pool afternoon into a full-day event. A splash pad handles the youngest guests, while an open-air pavilion built for lakeside grilling, live music, and dancing under the stars becomes the social center on weekend evenings. The clubhouse offers an arcade, fitness center, and multiple gathering spaces, and the Icehouse diner on-site provides meals and cold drinks without leaving the property. Golf cart rentals, a general store, a dog park, and waterfront access complete the picture. The 194 RV sites offer both pull-through and back-in options with 30/50-amp service and lake views throughout. Lake Livingston is a warm-water reservoir known for its bass, crappie, and catfish fisheries, and the lake's size—nearly 35 miles long—gives the resort access to an expanse of open water that supports everything from fishing and water skiing to sunset pontoon cruises. The Pineywoods of East Texas frame the lake on all sides, giving the resort a forested lakeside character distinct from the open ranchland of Central Texas. The combination of resort-quality amenities and genuine Texas lakefront terrain makes Lagoon Ranch a destination in its own right rather than simply a convenient place to park the rig. Lake Livingston State Park, just south of the resort, provides hiking, fishing, and equestrian trails through East Texas pine forest for guests who want a more rugged outdoor experience alongside the resort amenities. The town of Livingston to the north is the commercial hub of Polk County, offering full shopping and dining services. The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas operates a cultural center and museum about 20 miles east, providing one of the more distinctive cultural stops in this stretch of Southeast Texas. Sam Houston National Forest's Big Creek Scenic Area is a short drive away for those seeking deeper backcountry access in the longleaf pine landscape. Lagoon Ranch runs a year-round calendar in East Texas's mild climate, though summer is the peak season for the lagoon pool and lake recreation. The resort's live music and themed events are concentrated through the warm-weather months, and waterfront sites book up well in advance for summer holiday weekends. The combination of a genuinely spectacular pool, direct lake access, and the social energy of the Icehouse and pavilion makes Lagoon Ranch one of the more complete lake resort experiences available on Texas's inland reservoirs.
