Midland East RV Park

Midland, Texas

9 RV Sites

Off Interstate 20 at the eastern edge of Midland, Texas—in the Permian Basin where the horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing technology that reshaped global oil markets was developed and refined, and where the flatlands of the Llano Estacado extend in every direction to the horizon in the specific visual drama of extreme West Texas—Midland East RV Park provides the full hookup infrastructure, the WiFi, and the I-20 on-ramp convenience that both the petroleum industry's extended-stay workforce and the traveling RV community moving through the Permian Basin specifically require. The park's clean restrooms, laundry facilities, and cable television complete the practical daily amenity list for a campground positioned in one of the most economically active small cities in the American interior. Full hookup sites with 30 and 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections accommodate the range of RV electrical requirements on both back-in and pull-through configurations, and complimentary high-speed WiFi combined with 36-channel cable television at each site addresses the work and entertainment needs of both short-term overnight guests and the extended-stay population that the Permian Basin's oil-and-gas employment economy generates. On-site laundry facilities serve the practical daily needs, clean restrooms are maintained throughout the operating day, and the pet-friendly policy extends hospitality to the travel companions that a significant portion of the campground's guest population travels with. Nightly rates at $45 and a monthly rate of $600 (plus electric) reflect the Midland market's specific pricing environment. The Permian Basin's natural and industrial landscape creates a specific West Texas experience that rewards visitors who engage with it directly rather than treating Midland as purely a transit point. The Permian Basin is the most productive oil-producing region in the United States, responsible for roughly one-fifth of total American petroleum output, and the nodding pumpjacks, tank batteries, and pipeline infrastructure that define the basin's visual character represent an industrial geography as distinctive and specific as anything in the American landscape. The Petroleum Museum in Midland—the most comprehensive museum in the United States dedicated to the history and technology of the petroleum industry—provides the educational context for understanding what the pumpjacks and drilling rigs across the Permian Basin actually represent: the convergence of Permian-era marine sediment deposited 280 million years ago with the engineering ingenuity that found economically viable ways to extract it. The George W. Bush Childhood Home, the Midland-Odessa region's downtown corridor, and the Big Bend National Park drive—three and a half hours south on US 385—provide the cultural programming for guests extending their West Texas visit beyond the immediate Midland area. Midland East RV Park is open year-round in the Permian Basin's semi-arid climate, where the 300-plus annual sunshine days and the dry heat of summer create the outdoor conditions that favor spring and fall as the most comfortable visiting seasons. The park's I-20 positioning makes it the natural stop for travelers on the southern transcontintental corridor moving between the Sun Belt's western and eastern markets. Reserve your full hookup site, drive out to one of the ranch roads at dusk when the pump jacks work against the color of the Permian sunset, and let West Texas earn its reputation as the most uncompromisingly itself landscape in the lower forty-eight.
