Gracelyn RV Park

Crane, Texas

30 RV Sites, 1 Cabin

Gracelyn RV Park sits in Crane, Texas, in Crane County at the heart of the Permian Basin—one of the most productive oil-producing regions in the world and a landscape of broad desert flats, caliche roads, and working pump jacks that defines West Texas's industrial character. The park serves both energy sector workers on extended assignments and the smaller but growing number of travelers who use the Permian Basin as a gateway to the undeveloped desert country and national parks of the Big Bend region. The RV sites at Gracelyn are among the largest in Crane, providing the extra maneuvering room that matters for larger rigs in a park setting with multiple site types including daily, weekly, and monthly rate options that accommodate both short overnight stays and extended housing-equivalent assignments. Full hookups with water, electric, and sewer are standard across the site inventory. The Crane Westside Laundromat operates immediately adjacent to the park with new machines installed in 2024 and extra-large load capacity—a practical amenity for guests on long-term stays who need regular laundry access. Cabin accommodations are available for guests who need enclosed lodging rather than RV sites, and a pet-friendly policy accommodates working dogs and travel companions. Crane is a small Permian Basin city with the straightforward commercial character of a working oil patch town—fuel, groceries, hardware, and the practical services that support the energy industry are available, and the town operates at the unhurried pace of West Texas county seats where the population knows each other and the visitor who makes an effort to engage finds a genuinely hospitable community. The landscape surrounding Crane is the Permian Basin high desert: mesa country with scattered creosote, lechuguilla, and the occasional pronghorn crossing the scrubland between oil facilities. The Big Bend region begins about two and a half hours south of Crane and contains some of the least-visited national park terrain in the lower 48 states. Big Bend National Park protects 800,000 acres of Chihuahuan Desert, the Chisos Mountains, and the Rio Grande canyon corridors that form the international boundary with Mexico—terrain that rewards travelers who budget multiple days for its trails, river trips, and stargazing under some of the darkest skies in Texas. Balmorhea State Park, about ninety minutes southwest, is home to the world's largest spring-fed swimming pool—a clear, 76-degree artesian spring that provides one of the most memorable swimming experiences in the American Southwest. Monahans Sandhills State Park, closer to Crane, offers high dunes of white Permian sand ideal for sandboarding and sunset photography. Gracelyn RV Park operates year-round in a high-desert climate where winter temperatures are moderate and summer heat is managed through air-conditioned accommodations. Extended-stay guests represent the park's core occupancy base given Crane's position in the Permian Basin energy corridor, but the location's utility as a Big Bend gateway makes it a practical overnight stop for travelers working through the vast West Texas distance between San Antonio or Midland and the park.
