Check-in Procedure
- Check-in time: 1:00 pm.
- Check out time: 11:00 am.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Speed Limit
- 8.5 mph for all vehicles throughout the park.
Quiet Hours
- 8 AM / 10 PM.
Vehicles
- Two vehicles are allowed at each site.
- Truck & trailer, motorhome & towable, etc.
- Space is very limited, and we will try hard to accommodate extra vehicles.
- A $5.00 vehicle fee will be applied to 2 or more vehicles entering the park per reservation, per day.
- For the safety of our guests, all vehicles must adhere to the posted speed limit of 8.5mph.
- Ride slowly - others do not appreciate the dust and dirt.
- Each paid guest’s registration covers 1 RV, 1 tow vehicle, and 1 ATV per site unless noted.
- There is an additional fee of $5 per day/per extra vehicle.
- Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site.
- Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.
- Washing of RVs, ATVs & vehicles is prohibited.
- OHVs are welcome onsite but may not be used within the park, with the exception of traveling to and from the ATV/snowmobile trails.
- Anyone under the age of 16 must wear a helmet and have passed the Oregon state test to ride solo.
- Violation of the ATV, dirt bike, and motorcycle rules can result in being asked to leave the park without any refund.
- ATVs are not allowed to use the highway between Sawmill Gulch and the bridge in Sumpter or from Sawmill Gulch to the entrance of our park.
- ATVs are allowed in town, and the speed limit is 15 mph.
- Please be respectful of the residents and their property.
Campsite Availability and Lock Policy
- Campsites are subject to change and are not guaranteed unless you have "Locked in" your site and paid the lock fee at the time of your reservation.
Guest
- All guests’ visitors must stop in the office to register.
- Sumpter RV Park reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a site.
- Day visitors must depart by 10:00 pm PST.
- No more than 4 guests are allowed per site.
- Additional guests & overnight visitors will be charged a $5.00 fee per night and must depart by 11 am PST.
- To maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests, we do not allow the display of flags, banners, or signage of any kind at campsites or on park property.
- Guests responsible for damage may also be asked to leave and may not be allowed to return.
- Emergency contact information forms are required from all monthly guests.
Prohibited
- Fireworks are strictly prohibited in our park.
Trash
- Do not leave your trash outside your RV, it will attract animals.
- Please bag and seal all garbage.
- Dumpsters are provided for household waste only near the propane fill station.
- The discharge of any toxic material of any kind is not permitted on Sumpter RV Park property.
Fire
- Campfires are only allowed when there is no threat of forest fires.
- Please check with the office for seasonal fire regulations and safety information.
- This is dictated by the local fire officials and the Forest Service.
- Open fires are not allowed in the park.
- Campfires on the premises are only allowed in above-ground fire pits.
- All fire pits must be placed over the gravel.
- The collection of firewood is prohibited.
- Outside of fire season, we offer portable fire pits available for guests to rent.
- Fire pit rentals are $5 each per night.
- Lost or unreturned propane fire-rings and tanks will incur a replacement fee of $50 for the tank and $100 for the ring.
- Disposal of ash or campfire waste at campsites is strictly prohibited.
- Ash and fire debris can pose serious fire hazards, especially in forested areas.
- Violations of this rule will result in a $50 cleanup fee.
- Please ask the office for proper disposal instructions.
Fire-Ring Rental
- We offer propane fire-ring rentals for those times we are in fire season and wood burning is not allowed, or those who just don’t like the smoke.
- $25 a day per ring, propane included.
Pet Policy
- Good behavior is required.
- Hostile, aggressive, or constantly barking dogs or any breed/type will be asked to leave the grounds without a refund.
- Two pets are allowed per reservation; additional pets are $5 per pet.
- Dogs/cats must always be on a leash.
- Pets must be up to date on all required vaccinations.
- Please clean up after your pet.
- Failure to clean up after your pet will result in you being asked to leave without a refund.
- Any pet waste found left on your site or within the park from your pet will result in a $20.00 clean-up fee.
- For the safety of our guests & your furry friends, please do not leave your pet tethered outside unattended.
- Pet waste must be properly contained and disposed of.
- Please do not put loose waste into the trash receptacles.
RV Storage
- Sumpter RV Park offers RV storage for both short-term and long-term stays.
- Storage rates are $35 per month, payable in advance.
- Stored RVs must be registered with the office and have a visible contact tag.
- No personal belongings may be stored outside the RV.
- RVs in storage are not permitted to be used as a residence.
- The park is not responsible for damage, theft, or any incidents related to stored RVs.
- Failure to pay for storage on time may result in removal from the property at the owner's expense.
Property Etiquette
- Sites must be kept tidy.
- We reserve the right to ask you to remove anything outside of your RV.
- Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the park.
- Please use main roads and designated public paths to walk around the campground.
- Clotheslines and hanging of clothes are not permitted. Laundry facilities are available 24/7.
- You will be held responsible for any damages to shrubs, trees, picnic tables, etc.
- Please don’t hang anything on fences, poles, or trees without management approval.
Child Policy
- Parents are responsible for and must always accompany their minor children (under the age of 14), including the main office, restrooms, laundry facility, and gathering space.
- Parents are liable for any damages to the property of other guests and Sumpter RV park property.
- Riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV guests.
- Anyone under the age of 14 must be back at their site by dusk.
- Please hold your children to a high standard of behavior; we take this very seriously.
- There are shards of rusty metal scattered around the brush from years of use before we were here.
Monthly Site Rentals
- Monthly rentals are available but cannot exceed 60 consecutive days.
- Monthly stays will be approved on a case-by-case basis and are subject to a background check.
- Please see the “monthly rental agreement” for details.
- This information remains private; we never give personal information out to others.
Electrical Usage
- All monthly guests will be billed for their electrical usage.
Campground Disclaimer
- Damage to campground property, including campsites, will result in a fine based on the damage.
- We take great pride in our park and appreciate your help in keeping it a welcoming place for everyone.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 72+ hours before arrival receive a full refund minus a $10 transaction fee.
- Cancellations within 72 hours incur a $40 fee.
- Cancellations made 60 days or more before arrival.
- Deposit is retained, no additional charges.
- Cancellations made 30–59 days before arrival.
- 50% of the total reservation will be refunded.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival.
- No refunds will be issued.
Holiday Cancellations
- Holiday cancellations made 72 hours or more prior to the arrival date will be charged $40.00.
- The remainder of your deposit will be refunded for the original payment type.
- Holiday cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the arrival date will be charged $100.
- The balance of your deposit will be refunded.
- Holiday no-shows forfeit full payment/deposit.
Holiday & Special Event Weekends
- Failure to notify the park will result in a reservation cancellation.
- All policies above apply, but no refunds will be issued for cancellations or site reductions made within 45 days of arrival for:
- Holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day)
- Town-wide events (flea markets, gold rush days, etc.)
- No early departure refunds during holiday or special event weekends.
Refund Policy
- No prorating or refunds for early departures or arriving later than your reservation start date.
- No-show fee is equal to the full amount of the reservation.
- Fees will be charged to your payment method.
- If you fail to notify the park that you will not be arriving prior to the 11 am check out time the day following your scheduled arrival date, your reservation will be cancelled.
Group Reservation
- To reserve multiple campsites under a single name, we require a deposit and adherence to our group reservation policy.
- These terms help us manage availability and minimize loss of business due to late cancellations or changes.
- A group reservation is defined as three (3) or more campsites booked together under one name or for a coordinated group during the same stay dates.
- Group reservations block out a significant portion of our park.
- These policies help ensure fairness for all guests and protect our ability to operate efficiently.
Deposits & Payment Schedule
- A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your group reservation.
- The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
- If full payment is not received by the due date, the reservation may be canceled, and the deposit forfeited.
No Shows & Early Departures
- No-shows and early departures are non-refundable.
- Reserved sites will be held until 12:00 pm the day after your scheduled arrival unless prior arrangements are made.
Cancellation Modification
- In general, if you cancel a reservation, the amount refunded to you is determined by the Campsite's cancellation policy that applies to your reservation.
- Any additional service fee charged to you by the Campsite may be refunded pursuant to the cancellation policy presented in the applicable listing.
- Both you and each Campsite are responsible for any modifications made to your reservation, and you agree to pay any applicable fees related to such reservation modification.
Booking
- The booking fee is fully refundable if you cancel your Campsite reservation within 24 hours of booking.
- After 24 hours, the booking fee is refundable only if your Campsite reservation is also fully refundable at the time of cancellation.
- Please note that the booking fee is not partially refundable.
- All Spot2Nite reservations require payment in full at the time of booking.

- Spot2Nite convenience fees and credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
