The layout is big-rig friendly — unusual for a campground this size in the southeast Ohio hill country. Twenty-one sites run from full-hookup back-ins with 30 and 50-amp service to primitive RV sites for guests who need less. Rigs up to 60 feet fit, and a dump station serves those without full hookups. Restrooms and showers are on site. Pets are welcome. On-site facilities are straightforward. A playground serves families, and hiking runs from the property through the wooded Perry County hills. The nine-acre scale and family ownership mean guests deal directly with the operators, and the campground continues to add facilities. Off-roading areas are nearby for guests hauling ATVs. New Lexington sits on US-22 about 60 miles southeast of Columbus, in the reclaimed coal country that has grown back into some of the most rugged terrain in an otherwise glacially flattened state. Hocking Hills State Park, the AEP ReCreation Land, and the Wayne National Forest are all within day-trip range. The campground serves the southeast Ohio camping season, drawing from the Columbus and Athens markets. Fall color through October is the most scenic window, and summer weekends see the heaviest demand. Reserve ahead for both.

Not the greatest first trip with this app. Paid for (I thought) full hook-up, E/W/S, but nope, water and electric only, had to use a dump station. Which you had to do a hill climb to get to, also the main exit route. Plus, the site was out of level so bad I bottomed out my tongue jack and was still out of lev...Show more

Check-in Procedure Please stop by the office on your way in to complete Check-In - Check-In: 1 pm - Flexible - Check-Out: 11 am - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Campground Rules: - Use of chainsaws is not allowed. Fireworks - Fireworks and discharging of firearms are prohibited on Perry Backwoods Campground, LLC property. Fires - Fires are only permitted in fire rings and must be monitored at all times. By lighting a fire, you are accepting responsibility & consequences of it. Generators - Generators may only be used between the hours of 7:00 am - 10:00 pm. Pets Policies - Pets must be leashed. - You must clean up after your pet. - You are responsible for your pet while on Perry Backwoods Campground, LLC property. Children - Children must be supervised by an adult. - All liability for the child remains with the responsible adult. Garbage Policies - Dispose properly of any and all garbage brought in. - My trash is my trash until disposed of in the proper receptacle. Alcohol - Alcohol may not be consumed while riding trails are open (from a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after sunset) and should only be consumed in moderation. - Excessive intoxication could result in being asked to enter and remain in your sleeping quarters. APV Rules - Helmets are to be worn at all times including during the loading and unloading of APVs. - All ramps used for loading and unloading APVs and equipment must be secured to the vehicle/trailer. - Washing APVs or vehicles on gravel roads or with Perry Backwoods water supply is prohibited unless in the designated area. If caught a fee of $10 will be charged for water usage. Riding is only permitted to and from the Perry State Forest trails. - Marked speed limit must be obeyed at all times. - Joy riding and hot laps are not permitted. - We recommend that all riders become members of the OMTA for a fee of $20.00 per year per rider for liability insurance. Ask us how. Incidents and Penalties - Report any hazards or incidents to a Perry Backwoods associate or the Owner (330) 224-0759. Anyone caught on Perry Backwoods Campground, LLC without authorization or owner's acknowledgment will be charged a $100 fee or be prosecuted for trespassing. Any damage incurs while at the park, will be at your expense. - Perry Backwoods Campground, LLC is not responsible for accidents or any lost or stolen property and understands you are riding at your own risk. Perry Backwoods Campground, LLC has the right to refuse anyone service.

Cancellation Policy

Campground Cancellation Policy - 100% refund until 14 days prior to check-in. 50% percent refund 7 days prior, then 6 days prior the reservation is no longer refundable. Note - All refund calculations exclude the RoverPass service fees and credit card processing, which are non-refundable. RoverPass Cancellation Policy - The platform and processing fees are non-refundable. - Spot2Nite convenience fees are non-refundable.
