Winona Lake Campground

Lima, Ohio

27 RV Sites, 7 Tent Sites

4.01 reviews
Winona Lake Campground has been welcoming families to the lake country outside Lima, Ohio since 1966, offering RV and tent sites on a wooded property centered around its own private lake and pond. The floating playground, mini-golf, basketball and tennis courts, and fishing in the stocked lake give families a full day's worth of activity without ever needing to leave the campground — which is exactly the point of a stay here. Full hookup sites are available throughout the property, and the combination of lake access, sports courts, and a calendar of seasonal events creates the kind of repeat-guest culture where the campground feels less like a stopping point and more like a summer destination. Pets are welcome, and the family-owned atmosphere carries over into the staff interactions that returning visitors mention most. Lima's broader area adds worthwhile day trips for guests who want to explore Allen County. The Allen County Museum covers regional history across a main museum, a log home village, and a Lincoln Park research library — a deeper look at northwest Ohio's heritage than most visitors expect from a city this size. Ottawa Metro Park and the Lippincott Bird Sanctuary offer natural respite for hikers and birders, and Limaland Motorsports Park adds live racing events to the summer schedule for anyone drawn to that kind of evening entertainment. Annual events like the Allen County Fair and the Star Spangled Spectacular give summer visits a ready-made calendar anchor, and the campground's proximity to Lima keeps supply runs quick. Book a lakeside site at Winona Lake Campground and spend the summer days the way the property was designed — on the water and on the courts.

This is a small campground with many seasonal campers. The management helped us find an open site and was very helpful. Park was quiet , but it was also rainy during our one night stay. There is a real nice waterpark in the front of the campground for kids to play on. Our one night stay was a little pricey.
