Pine Island Campground and Marina

Seville, Florida

26 RV Sites, 2 Onsite RV/Trailers, 1 Tiny House

On the eastern shore of Lake George in Putnam County, Florida, Pine Island Campground and Marina offers the rare combination of direct lake access, a working marina, and comfortable RV accommodations on one of the most ecologically significant lakes in the St. Johns River system. Lake George—the second-largest lake in Florida—sits at the heart of a waterway network that connects springs, river channels, and wildlife refuges, and Pine Island's position on that network makes it one of the most compelling water-access RV parks in Central Florida. Whether your priorities run toward bass fishing, spring-fed swimming holes, or simply watching the morning light come across the lake, this is a campground that rewards guests who use the water. RV sites with 30 and 50-amp full hookup service are complemented by individual fire pits and picnic tables, coin-operated laundry, clean shower facilities, and a dump station centrally located for convenience. The marina operation adds a layer of capability that typical campgrounds can't offer: 20 covered boat slips, a boat ramp with easy launch access, pontoon rental, kayak rentals, and ethanol-free fuel on-site. A 22-foot Lexington pontoon is available for full-day rental—the preferred choice for guests heading to Silver Glen Springs, exploring the wildlife refuges along the lake, or seeking waterfront dining options accessible only by boat. A coffee and bait counter and camp store round out the daily convenience needs. Tiny house lakefront accommodations are available for guests who prefer to forgo the RV setup. Lake George is a landscape of exceptional ecological richness. The lake sits within the Ocala National Forest waterway system and provides access to Silver Glen Springs—one of the iconic first-magnitude springs of the Florida system—along with Alexander Springs, Juniper Springs, and the broad, tannin-dark waters of the St. Johns River itself. Manatee sightings near the springs are common in cooler months, and the lake's bird life—ospreys, bald eagles, great blue herons, and wading birds of every variety—provides constant entertainment for guests who keep binoculars on the picnic table. The broader Lake George region offers a historical depth that complements the natural setting well. The Ocala National Forest, one of the nation's oldest national forests, surrounds the waterway with hiking trails, off-road opportunities, and some of the most extensive longleaf pine restoration in the Southeast. The town of Palatka is within reasonable range for provisioning and historical exploration, and the Spring-to-Spring Trail connects multiple natural springs through the forest. Crescent City, Deland, and the St. Johns River corridor provide additional day-trip destinations for guests who want to range beyond the lake. Pine Island Campground and Marina operates year-round in the warm Central Florida climate, and each season brings distinct character. Winter is prime manatee season at the springs, spring and fall offer the best bass fishing conditions on Lake George, and summer brings the full subtropical lushness that makes Florida's freshwater corridor so distinctive. Waterfront sites and marina slips book ahead for holiday weekends and peak fishing season, so early reservations are recommended for preferred positions. Pack the fishing rods, arrange a pontoon rental, and let Lake George set the pace for a Florida water-country experience that goes well beyond the theme-park circuit.
