Jellystone Park™ Estes

Estes Park, Colorado

62 RV Sites, 30 Cabins, 9 Tent Sites, 4 Cottages, 2 Lodges

Set in Estes Park, Colorado, at the eastern gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, Jellystone Park Estes sits in one of the most sought-after mountain resort communities in the American West—a position that gives the campground immediate access to some of Colorado's most iconic outdoor scenery alongside the structured family programming that defines the Jellystone Park brand experience. The park's mountain elevation, dramatic Front Range backdrop, and proximity to the national park's wildlife and trail system make it a distinctively scenic setting for a family camping destination in the Colorado Rockies. The campground provides RV sites and tent camping spaces for guests traveling with traditional outdoor setups, alongside rental cabins for those preferring a stationary lodging option with full campground amenity access. A heated pool, mini-golf course, game room, and covered pavilion extend the on-property activity roster beyond passive outdoor time, and the campground store carries essentials for guests who prefer to minimize supply runs into town during their stay. A structured activity schedule with planned events gives families a reliable daily itinerary option during peak-season visits, complementing the larger recreational opportunities available throughout the surrounding Rocky Mountain National Park region. Estes Park's surrounding landscape is defined by the peaks and valleys of the Front Range, where the transition from high-plains foothills to alpine terrain creates a visually dramatic environment visible from virtually every point in town and campground alike. Evening campfire gatherings benefit from the mountain air quality and clear high-altitude skies, and the surrounding tree cover supports abundant wildlife activity with elk, mule deer, and other species common to the Rocky Mountain foothills regularly observed within or near the campground grounds throughout the season. Rocky Mountain National Park, accessible via the Fall River and Beaver Meadows entrance stations just minutes from the campground, encompasses some of Colorado's most celebrated high-country terrain. Trail Ridge Road—the highest continuous paved highway in the United States—crosses the park's alpine tundra zone above 12,000 feet, with trailheads and overlooks distributed along the route. Moraine Park and Horseshoe Park are reliable elk-viewing areas at lower elevations, and the park's maintained trail network spans everything from short interpretive walks to multi-day backcountry routes. Estes Park's main street offers dining, outfitters, and shopping within short driving distance of the campground. Jellystone Park Estes operates on a summer-primary schedule aligned with Rocky Mountain National Park's peak visitor season, which runs from late June through mid-September when Trail Ridge Road is fully open. Campground sites and cabins fill quickly for summer weekends, peaking in July and August when national park visitation is at its highest. Rocky Mountain National Park requires timed-entry permits during peak summer months; guests should plan park visits around permit availability. Reservations at Jellystone Park Estes should be secured well in advance for any summer stay, particularly around the Fourth of July holiday period. The combination of a structured resort environment and Estes Park's extraordinary mountain backdrop creates a camping experience that serves families seeking both programmed activity and access to one of the most scenically dramatic settings in the Colorado Rockies.
