Bryce Valley Ranch RV & Horse Park

69 RV Sites

5.03 reviews
Bryce Valley Ranch RV and Horse Park in Cannonville, Utah, offers 69 full-hookup RV sites just below the rim of Bryce Canyon National Park, with 30 and 50-amp service and rigs accepted to 75 feet on a big-rig-friendly layout. Categories publish their exact length — 35, 65, and 75 feet — with separate adult-only and family pull-through sections, plus horse pens for equestrian guests. Sixty-nine sites span back-in 30-amp at 35 feet, back-in 30/50-amp at 75 feet, and pull-thru 30/50-amp at 65 feet in both adult-only and family sections, all carrying water, sewer, and electric with site WiFi, with fire pits, picnic tables, and BBQ pits. Publishing length by category removes all guesswork, and separating the adult-only and family sections is a thoughtful touch that serves both. A general store, laundry, propane fills, restrooms, showers, firewood, horse pens, and a pet washing station handle the practical side. One safety note the park states plainly: a river runs at the back of the property and can flash flood from heavy rain at higher elevations. Walking trails, a community fire pit, playground, dog park, and pavilion fill the grounds, with hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and offroading nearby. The horse pens are the differentiator — this park serves riders who want to bring their own animals onto the Grand Staircase backcountry trails, which very few properties accommodate. The family operating it has two decades in this corner of canyon country. Spring and fall are peak at Bryce. Reserve well ahead.

THINGS TO KNOW: Mother Nature Hazards: - Bryce Valley Ranch RV and Horse Park are in a natural area with a river that runs at the back of the property and can have flash floods from heavy rain from higher elevations that flow into this river. It is possible that rising water could overtake the bank and flow within our park boundaries. Bryce Valley Ranch RV and Horse Park would assume no liability if this act of nature were to cause damage to your property. - Trees and the shade they provide an enjoyable campground experience. However, trees pose a natural hazard of falling debris, such as leaves and branches, especially during windy and/or extreme weather conditions from Spring to Fall. - We do not assume responsibility for these natural hazards or for any property damage, injury, or other circumstances that may result. Please take this into consideration. - WEATHER can change suddenly in the mountains. The rainy season lasts roughly July-September with thunderstorms and flash floods. Summer temperatures can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. In winter, snow and subzero temperatures may occur. FLASH FLOODS: - Are possible any time of the year. If storms are pending, avoid traveling in narrow canyons. Slot canyon hiking or riding check the forecast ahead of time. Remember, the weather may be clear skies where you are, but the flash floods come from upstream miles away and may travel thru these slot canyons with no warning. - NOAA's website for flash flood warnings is www.wrh.noaa.gov/slc/flashflood/ ROADS: - If you're planning on exploring many of the dirt road destinations, be aware that the roads are mostly dirt, clay, or gravel. Dirt surface roads are subject to flooding and impassable when wet. High clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended. Leave gates open or closed as you find them. Respect private property. PLAN AHEAD: - Before going to the backcountry, tell friends where you're going and for how long. Start with a full gas tank and carry extra food, water, and clothing. Don't travel or hike alone. - Cell Phones may not have signals. Climbing to a nearby high point may help. Carry an emergency device like Spot or In-reach. - In an emergency, always call 911. - Garfield County Sheriff: 435-676-2678 - Kane County Sheriff: 435-644-2349
