5.01 reviews
The Ridge Outdoor Resort in Sevierville, Tennessee sets a high standard for Great Smoky Mountains camping — a luxury outdoor resort spread across more than 50 acres just three miles from Pigeon Forge, where resort-caliber amenities meet the mountain scenery that draws millions of visitors to eastern Tennessee every year. Whether you arrive by RV or seeking a glamping cabin with genuine mountain character, The Ridge delivers an experience that goes meaningfully beyond a typical campground stay and competes directly with hotel options at a fraction of the per-night cost. Paved, spacious RV sites with full hookups, cable, and Wi-Fi accommodate large rigs with ease across the well-maintained property. Canvas tents and tiny home camping cabins give guests without an RV the same access to the resort's exceptional amenity lineup. Two zero-entry pools and a lazy river provide the centerpiece water recreation, supported by luxury private bathhouses, 24-hour guest laundry, a fitness center, two dedicated dog parks, an on-site fishing pond, and a deli stocked for snacks and camp meals. Daily Jeep and golf cart rentals add a practical and genuinely fun mobility option for exploring the wooded grounds and the surrounding mountain terrain, and ADA-accessible facilities are available throughout the property. The Smoky Mountain backdrop is ever-present at The Ridge — forested ridgelines, mountain creek sounds, and the particular golden light that makes the Great Smokies famous at dawn and dusk are visible from the resort grounds throughout the day. The fishing pond on-site gives guests the quintessential mountain fishing experience without leaving the property, and the wooded trails between sites invite morning walks that feel genuinely removed from the Pigeon Forge entertainment corridor just minutes away on the other side of the tree line. Dollywood, one of the Southeast's most beloved theme parks and a consistent recipient of top theme park rankings, is three miles from The Ridge — a distance that makes spontaneous visits genuinely effortless. The Pigeon Forge entertainment corridor, with its family attractions, dinner theaters, and the Island at Pigeon Forge, is equally convenient. Gatlinburg's artisan shops, craft breweries, and distilleries line the pedestrian-friendly main strip just beyond, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park — America's most visited national park — is a short scenic drive from there, with wildlife watching in Cades Cove and the demanding summit hike on Alum Cave Trail to Mount LeConte among the most memorable experiences in the region. The Ridge Outdoor Resort operates year-round, with peak season running spring through fall when the Smokies reach their highest visitation. Fall foliage in October creates one of the most spectacular color displays in the eastern United States and fills the resort weeks in advance — booking for any October stay should happen as early as possible, as the fall foliage window across all Smoky Mountain campgrounds is the most consistently competitive period in the calendar. The proximity to Pigeon Forge sustains year-round demand, so early reservation is advisable regardless of which season you plan to visit.

Friendly and helpful staff! We stayed only for one night on our way to Greenbriar. Bathrooms were clean, large, and heated. Showers are large and well spaced. We utilized a drive thru spot since we were only staying 1 night. Easy access and hook up. I prefer feeling like I am in nature when camping so it was ...Show more
