Ozarks Landing RV Resort

Lake Ozark, Missouri

74 RV Sites, 12 Tent Sites

Ozarks Landing RV Resort in Lake Ozark, Missouri, provides a lakefront camping destination directly on Lake of the Ozarks, the sprawling Osage River reservoir whose 1,150 miles of shoreline—more than the entire California coastline—makes it the most extensively developed recreational lake in the Midwest and the center of Missouri's most commercially active resort and tourism economy. The resort's boat docks, boat ramp, fishing pier, pool, and RV storage position guests on a lake whose cove system, marina culture, and summer entertainment infrastructure create the most resort-dense lake environment in the south-central United States, with the surrounding community's restaurants, bars, water sports businesses, and live music venues operating at maximum intensity from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The resort's facility delivers the lakefront camping infrastructure that Lake of the Ozarks guests expect: a lakefront pool, boat docks for personal watercraft, boat ramp, fishing pier for crappie and bass fishing off the dock, RV storage for off-season vehicle management, a playground, dump station, showers, bathrooms, laundry, and pet-friendly policies collectively provide the practical services for the families and anglers whose Lake of the Ozarks stay centers on water recreation from the resort's direct lake access. The Lake's swimming from the docks, boating through the cove network, and the fishing for largemouth bass, white bass, and crappie that Lake of the Ozarks consistently produces at all skill levels supplement the resort's developed amenities. Lake of the Ozarks was created by the Bagnell Dam's completion in 1931—the largest hydroelectric dam in the world at the time of its construction—impounding the Osage River in a reservoir that extends 92 miles up the main lake with hundreds of coves reaching into the surrounding Ozark hill country. The lake's distinctive 1,150-mile shoreline length results from the Osage River's meandering canyon path through the Missouri Ozarks, whose limestone bluff topography created the deeply indented cove system that gives the lake its exceptional recreational shoreline-to-surface-area ratio. The Bagnell Dam Strip's souvenir shops and restaurants and the surrounding community's water parks, mini-golf, and go-kart tracks form the commercial tourism infrastructure that has surrounded the lake since the 1930s. Ha Ha Tonka State Park, approximately 20 miles southwest of Lake Ozark, combines the ruins of a grand early twentieth-century castle estate with one of Missouri's most dramatic natural spring systems—the collapsed castle ruins atop a bluff above the Spring, a turquoise natural spring flowing into the Lake of the Ozarks arm through a landscape of sinkholes, caves, and natural bridges that reflects the karst geology underlying the lake's eastern shore. The park's 4,000 acres preserve the most intact Ozark karst landscape in Missouri in a state park that rewards exploration with consistently dramatic geological scenery. Ozarks Landing RV Resort operates year-round on Lake of the Ozarks, with the Memorial Day through Labor Day summer season representing the peak resort activity period when the lake's commercial entertainment infrastructure—waterfront restaurants, live music venues, boat rentals, and the pontoon boat and party barge culture that defines Lake of the Ozarks summer socializing—operates at the maximum energy that makes this lake experience unlike any other in the Midwest. The spring crappie spawn from April through May and the fall bass tournament season drive the fishing community's visits in the shoulder seasons, and the resort's RV storage services provide the year-round operational continuity that Lake of the Ozarks seasonal boating requires.
